[Masaomi, back from his mission steps up out of the tunnels... tired. He's quite tired, as is Linda (who is resting her pokeball which is clipped onto his vest. He has on the ninja flak vest he borrow from Shikamaru forever ago and also looks a bit beat up. Some of his sleeves are torn as are his pants. He has some cuts, some bruises, and some burns, not all of them healed but some of them healing. He also has one of his collapseable batons in his hand. Aside from this, his muscle build up is more obvious but-

But something different about the image - despite all that and the rain and the injuries, he's laughing once he looks up at the sky. Stronger. Stronger. He already feels it. Well, no time like the present, despite his tired he's going out to accomplish a few things. First is actually to go pick up something to drink from the grocery and pick something up from the item shop (feel free to run into him at either of those) and head over to Mikado's apartment. It's an important day, after all, and he did not want to blow him off for it. Besides, if he heads there now, he might make it as the guy is coming back to school and he might run into him before then.

After that, well, he'll spend his day with Mikado until that night (though anyone can run into him before then). This'll last until about 8PM, when he's going to be going to hang out just inside the battle dome for a reason which might obvious to a lot of people. (and no, he still has not changed his clothes, even if he might have cleaned up the more obvious injuries). And after whatever comes of that, he's going to go back to his apartment to meet up with his roommate and anyone he didn't run into through the rest of the day before finally popping open the journal.]

Masaomi Kida has returned!! I hope you all didn't miss me too dearly!! [Okay so he's tried and running on caffeine by now, but he's still grinning ear to ear] Some rain out there today, and man is it wet- [he resists saying "ladies I hope you didn't get too wet if you saw me today" but it's hard. He laughs to himself at that joke despite not saying] You can tell the sky's telling us something though, riiight? We're approaching spring, a time of love and lust and all between! So sound off!! Whooooo's got a special someone? Who's got a crush? You can trust me, I'm a Love Machine.

[Laughing at this, once more]

So ladies... and gentlemen. Don't speak up all at once.

Better than ever. [He says this with tremendous pride. And a warm, almost fatherly sort of smile. he can't get out her ball because she's got his hands, but]

I told you we were in for training, right? We've been working on controlling how she puts out a charge. She's made a lot of progress.

Good girl. [She says with affirmation and not the slightest trace of surprise. Katara's expectations are the highest expectations without her realizing it, /sob.]

And working on her control was a good idea. That's even more important than power, especially when you're dealing with something like electricity. [And she extends her approval to Masaomi before disengaging from his hands. Her gaze flickers to the bruise on his cheek.]

Do you want me to get that?

[Or do you want to keep a trophy bruise.]

[He nods, giving his own confirmation for the first part, and then looks at her curiously when she points out the bruise. whaaat - no way, he laughs]

Of course! If it was a cut, I might keep the scar, but a bruise marring my pretty face? That's be about third-fourths as criminal as a buise on yours.

Three-fourths, huh? [Masaomi, you are ridiculous, and your compliments make her uncomfortable. All the same, she reaches up with a water-coated thumb to swipe it along the bruise on his face, and it disappears under her touch.]

[Sincerely. He doesn't bow or anything, just says it, leaning back one step for her. He then goes to reach into his flak jacket's - well one of the many pockets to pull out the yellow golf ball sized lindaball]

[Because this is a Special Ball, Linda is tiny and aware of them. ]

[And then she crouches down to give the pokemon a greeting pet or two.]

[Linda beams at it, giving a short little static charge as she's doing this and giving a pokelaugh]

Katara withdraws her hand with a wry little smile and stands.]

I'm glad you came by to let me know.

[But she's kind of got people - Aang - waiting for her at home, so... she can't exactly hang out right now.]
