[Masaomi, back from his mission steps up out of the tunnels... tired. He's quite tired, as is Linda (who is resting her pokeball which is clipped onto his vest. He has on the ninja flak vest he borrow from Shikamaru forever ago and also looks a bit beat up. Some of his sleeves are torn as are his pants. He has some cuts, some bruises, and some burns, not all of them healed but some of them healing. He also has one of his collapseable batons in his hand. Aside from this, his muscle build up is more obvious but-

But something different about the image - despite all that and the rain and the injuries, he's laughing once he looks up at the sky. Stronger. Stronger. He already feels it. Well, no time like the present, despite his tired he's going out to accomplish a few things. First is actually to go pick up something to drink from the grocery and pick something up from the item shop (feel free to run into him at either of those) and head over to Mikado's apartment. It's an important day, after all, and he did not want to blow him off for it. Besides, if he heads there now, he might make it as the guy is coming back to school and he might run into him before then.

After that, well, he'll spend his day with Mikado until that night (though anyone can run into him before then). This'll last until about 8PM, when he's going to be going to hang out just inside the battle dome for a reason which might obvious to a lot of people. (and no, he still has not changed his clothes, even if he might have cleaned up the more obvious injuries). And after whatever comes of that, he's going to go back to his apartment to meet up with his roommate and anyone he didn't run into through the rest of the day before finally popping open the journal.]

[Voice]

Masaomi Kida has returned!! I hope you all didn't miss me too dearly!! [Okay so he's tried and running on caffeine by now, but he's still grinning ear to ear] Some rain out there today, and man is it wet- [he resists saying "ladies I hope you didn't get too wet if you saw me today" but it's hard. He laughs to himself at that joke despite not saying] You can tell the sky's telling us something though, riiight? We're approaching spring, a time of love and lust and all between! So sound off!! Whooooo's got a special someone? Who's got a crush? You can trust me, I'm a Love Machine.

[Laughing at this, once more]

So ladies... and gentlemen. Don't speak up all at once.

A "Pokemon"? Wow, there's so many animals here that I never would have imagined.

[He turns to address Katara.] So how was the Battle Dome?

It was okay. We were going over blood transfusions which was... kind of a disturbing concept at first. [And kind of gross, but she's seen and done worse.] I think I'm getting the hang of it.

[She's doing really well, in other words.]

[...A blood transfusion is disturbing? He blinks at that. Oh, right. It should be odd to her. Unlike him, he was getting them back in middle school. He reaches a hand up to subtly pet Linda. Good job backing down, by the way]

[Aang nods along thoughtfully but is notably a bit grossed out by the idea of the blood transfusion.] That does sound pretty weird and disturbing... but as long as it's helpful! You really train a lot here.

[She shrugs a little.]

There's a lot to learn.

[Speaking of which, she wonders about going off to practice and leaving Masaomi and Aang to talk. Hmm. Maybe better to wait a few more minutes.]

And it's always better to be prepared and have alternatives.

[This way, in case her bending cuts out, and Nala disappears, she'll still know how to take care of you all to the best of her ability. It's her same rationale for learning how to use the bo.]

[Actually, he can't help it now. It would be ill tact to bring up the Avatar thing even if it's probably not even a secret, and more to try to gain control of the conversation than anything]

Speaking of- Aang-kun. I've seen Katara's waterbending for a long time now, and I've been burried by Toph-chan before. What's your talent?

[Aang's a bit conflicted about Katara's busy schedule - while he prefers to be around her and does not really understand her reasons for so much training, he does realize it may be for the best; he doesn't want to slip up and make things awkward for this Katara.] Yeahhh, that's true.

[His attention then turns to Masanomi - he hadn't been trying that hard to keep his powers secret, and a friend of Katara's has to be trustworthy, so he spills.]

I'm an Airbender! And a Waterbender and an Earthbender and a Firebender. But air would be my main talent.

[Katara barely resists the urge to facepalm at Masaomi's casual mention of being buried by Toph, but she does, in fact, manage. She'll let the boys keep talking, then.]

[...All them. All of them, really? He blinks and tries not to feel as vaguely intimidated as he is. Oh well]

Hoooh, and what's airbending look like?

I'm glad you asked! Hang on, I'll show you my favorite trick!

[He quickly reaches around the ground, scoops something up and stands up with both hands clasped together...]

[...then he raises one hand and spins several pebbles around in a levitated circle between his hands, a broad grin across his face.]

[Oh, that trick. Katara smiles, warmly amused and touched by nostalgia.]

I think they're even faster than the last time I saw that, Aang.

...Wow they look like one belt.

[He's actually genuinely surprised sounding at that]

Yeah, isn't it cool?

[Halting the trick after several minutes, dropping the pebbles into his hand, he then looked up at Masanomi.]

What about you? Do you have any abilities?

[Mild internal cringing.]

Masaomi's more of a... nontraditional fighter. He's very strong.

[She glances at the pokemon on his shoulder.]

And he works with Linda now.

[Abilities.]

[...Wait did Katara call him "very strong?" He looks up, actually glancing at her with surprise, trying to read if that's a lie or not. Linda looks at him too, trying to read what her trainer is trying to read from his face. After all, he's... pretty strong.

Oh. That's cool! Can't forget about Linda here, the master lightning... bender!

Oh, oh, you want to call her master, you've not even seen anything- [He glances at Linda, nods, and she leaps off his shoulders. Her fur stands on end and the Magneto sound happens again (due magnetic pull too) as she floats in mid-air (a bit wobbly) using Magnet Rise]

[Aang looks on in wide-eyed astonishment]

Whoa... Linda, you're really great! I didn't know lightning could be used that way. [Of course, Aang knew of only one way lightning could be used by living creatures. And it was not a subject he liked to dwell on.]

[...

Katara shifts a little uncomfortably and tries to maintain a neutral, approving expression.]

[Linda - who doesn't have the best control over how she floats at the moment so she's sort of spinning in mid-air before she lets the fur go down and plops onto the ground landing on her feet - beams at Aang before looking up at Masaomi for next command/approval. come on, she can show off, right? Masaomi gives a short hand motion which looks like a "blinking light" and then Linda complies- her cheek-ports spark lightly, but instead of the electricity arcing out, they instead concentrate and in about five seconds-

Linda uses Flash. A blinding field of light shoots out of her and when any of the people present (sands Masaomi because he pre-closed his eyes) recover their vision, they might notice her faintly glowing from those cheek-ports]

[Aang is predictably stunned by the bright light and rubs his eyes as his vision returns.]
