He's gone out on crutches a few times so far, but nothing much and rarely for very long, still thinking about the fighting and all. But-]

[But the minute he says this, bouncing on his leg to reposition a little (the one which is broken is suspended in the air) he looks around. It's not listening, is it?]

[Katara glances at Gold and then - is distracted by Masaomi bouncing around on one leg.] Why do you even have crutches if you're going to be doing crazy things like that?

[Walking over quickly, frowning, and grabbing his crutches from their resting place against the counter as she goes.] You should take these and go sit down.

[Man, she hates it when guys do stuff like this! Why are they all such lousy patients?]

Hey, come on now, Mewtwo's great fun, full of stimulating conversation!

[Thankfully, Mewtwo's out of the house for the moment. ...Though, whether he's managed to find a way to listen is another matter.

Gold, meanwhile, just shakes his head at Masaomi's actions. He's used to it by now.]

I'm just pouring some chips for you, Katara!

[And pretending I am free. But that's another matter, he sighs and offers into taking up the crutches. Sigh he doesn't want to be :C At the Mewtwo comment though Masaomi sideeyes Gold. You serious]

[Blink. That's not a name she's likely to forget.] Mewtwo? he's back?

[Katara had a few encounters with a different Mewtwo earlier. It had been... nerve-wracking, to say the least.]

And I can pour the chips myself - go sit down.

[Sarcasm is lost on you, Masaomi, clearly.]

Both of you sit down, I'll get the chips. [But Katara's first comment causes him to cock an eyebrow.]

...Back? He was here before? [Because Gold never ran into the old Mewtwo. Maybe he was from that backwards universe Ash comes from, because this Mewtwo would've been all over Red back then.]

[Oh fine. He pouts and gets on the crutches and hobbles on back to the couch. He's sick of sitting on the couch - at least he's getting adept at moving like this. Once there, he gets in the seat with a sigh]

Get some drinks while you're at it, Gold.

[Katara hesitates before following Masaomi in.] Do you want any help?

[She's already looking around for the cups.] And - yeah, he was. We met by the bridge a few times. It was... [weird. scary. unpleasant.] ...we played games with the water once.

Yeah, yeah, what do you want to drink, then? [He's already opening the fridge to look over their selection of sodas. It is basically a pyramid of cans.

He casts a glance to Katara, though.] Water games, huh? Definitely doesn't sound like this Mewtwo.

Just some coke?

[He called uselessly from the couch, trying to prop his busted leg up on a coffee table]

[And Katara shamelessly peers over Gold's shoulder.] Ooooh, cream soda!

[Yes, she's a closet addict. The contest is between cream soda and root beer - hard to tell which is winning.] And... that seems to happen a lot.

[She's not exactly sure how she feels about Mewtwo coming back and being different - that's been happening a lot to her recently. But she decides not to think about it.]

Excellent choice! [He grabs a Coke, a cream soda, and a Mountain Dew for himself. Gotta do the dew, man.]

Man, can't beat the price we get soda for here.

300 a pop's pretty draining on a guy's wallet after a while.

Three hundred?! [Even assuming it's yen, that's a lot? He would spittake if he had the soda already. But]

[Speaking of. once he takes the coke Masaomi gives Gold a look. Telling him to get lost. In the nicest way possible. But he says-]

[Katara would like to clarify that this is in no way, shape, or form a date. There won't even be broken ribs involved!

...or she would like clarify, if she understood 'significant guy look' lingo. As it is, she misses it completely and takes a seat on the couch, popping open her soda can.]

Yeah. And I thought the prices of the fruit drinks at the Oasis were bad.

[And Gold gives Masaomi a look back, telling him to hold his damn horses if he wants chips. |8]

[Fine. The blonde gives a short nod to Gold and lets Katara answer, popping open his own soda]

Actually... [huh] we kind of ended up leaving before we had to pay. Aang's drink spilled and we met this Professor of Archeology and...

[heh heh. She shrugs a little sheepishly.]

[Let's see, two bowls... You know what, Gold wants chips too, dammit. Make that three bowls. Can't have a soda without some chips.]
