He's gone out on crutches a few times so far, but nothing much and rarely for very long, still thinking about the fighting and all. But-]

Doesn't it, Katara? [He arches and eyebrow. doesn't it? If he were to ask how Anri was doing, assuming this were home, he'd ask her how Mikado is. And vice-versa. Neither be affective, but both more telling than the lies people tell to themselves]

[She leans back and crosses her arms under her chest.] No. It doesn't.

[It's possible that she's just being stubborn.]

Chouji and I are just friends, Masaomi. It's not fair to push at what happened like it actually meant something.

[There's a short tut here and] If you ask me, it's more hurtful to ignore it entirely. But then... I guess Katara wouldn't do that, so there's no point saying that.

[She looks back up at him.] I wasn't ignoring it! We were giving each other space so we could figure it out! But the draft spoiled all that. And now that we're back...

[She trails off, because how does she make herself ask for space again? It was hard enough the first time. And how can she figure anything out when there's hardly time to think about it with Toph and Michael and Sokka and Zuko...

But then she shrugs.] I don't know. Sokka managed to make the retelling of how he broke his foot in the final battle last a half hour. Actually, I think it gets longer every time. It's even got sound effects.

[Light eyeroll.] Of course not. [Leaning back, she takes a sip of her soda, reassures herself that everyone is as safe as they can be, now.

Professor Raine Sage. [Which he's heard is the best. In actually he might not even be broken after he follow-up - it's just a matter of not re-breaking it]

Ah it... doesn't hurt. But Sensei told me to stay off it for a while.

I'm not surprised. She had me lay down for a while even after she'd fixed me up. She's right, though - it's better to rest until you're completely recovered.
