Appointments Post ( I )

This post here is for personal conversations which should happen but one or both of us doesn't want to put up a new post/log and thus we will just thread it out here. This can be used to thread with Masaomi anytime and anywhere. This can either be in person (with action), or via the journal's call feature (voice and/or written).

[And right now, his thought bubble fills with a reflection of... her right now. Still glowing]

[Aaaand then back to her swimsuit in the bubble. Whoops. No. think of something else! Her in this one outfit he liked bending. Still glowing, that works]

[Her thought bubble reflects his, tinged in red, and--]

(Why am I glowing?)

[She covers her eyes.]

I don't want to see this.

If you're looking for an apology, I don't think I need to make one about my thoughts.

[Annoyed, in spite of himself, but he keeps a jovial tone and a smile]

Right, at least I wasn't naked.

(A wash out of herself in gray; her hands wrapping someone else's bindings--

I hate this place.)

I wouldn't make a picture of that.

[Or well, he might if he could imagine it- and briefly, there's a picture of her exposed legs in his bubble, but it quickly corrects to other images. Her smile (the genuine one), her on the ground after that spar where he broke a bone, her sitting with him the barracks, her sitting next to him on that tunnel of love]

(Her hands on his hands; his face when she told him she wouldn't stop him)

[Katara drops her hands and glances over to him, catching maybe the last three images]

I know you wouldn't - or you wouldn't mean to.

(That image of her in the tunnel, flashing; a pai sho board)

...Soooo, let's work out something else to talk about. How about you can do something with this lake next to us?

[Bending therapy? He has images of her doing her various practices he's watched... some of which she might not necessarily know he did]

[She returned her gaze to him, flickering up at the thought bubble - (???) and then back to his face.]

Why?

Something to do?

[A corner of her mouth twitches up.]

Something for me to do and for you to watch?

[And the way his arms are supporting him leaning back like that catches her eye, and for a moment the thought bubble reflects them.]

[That is a weird bubble, and his own bubble has a squiggle run through it for a moment before it flattens out and he just nods his head a bit to the left]

I wouldn't complain. Though, if you wanted to do something fancy with me, I'd comply.

("...do something fancy?")

Like what?

I imagine your imagination's broader than mine, Katara.

[But though he says this with a shrug, a few theoretical ones flash through his mind's bubble in rapid order: surfing, diving underwater with bubbles around them, rain of icicles, turning the lake into a giant steam bath, making a giant funnel of water in the air, tugging rain down out of the clouds]

[She laughed a little at his imagination, her thought bubble flashing lightly pink.]

I wouldn't want to do anything that would land you in trouble if I suddenly vanished.

[Because while a few of those things were possible, there was no way of telling if they'd stay together, or if he'd end up at the bottom of the lake with thousands of pounds water over him.

Besides. Bending just for the sake of being watched made her uncomfortable.]

(Dry grass; an out of reach window)

[...Wow he doesn't get that one at all. But he rocks back, chuckling] True, true! Alas for that logic!

[Okay, then... new topic]

[The silence stretches between them for a moment as the sheer aloneness of where they are enters Katara's awareness.]

(Masaomi, simply as he was, wearing that hoodie; on top of the fountain, arms in a ridiculous pose; sitting close beside her in the barracks; Tokyo; his face as he flashed her a rare genuine grin)

...listen, about earlier today...

[His bubble has another squiggle in it, coiling like a snake, but he turns to her to look intently. Yeah?]

(Their clasped hands; a giant wall of ice)

I'm sorry if that was... awkward or hurtful. I just didn't know what else to do.

A...ah. [And then the clasped hands flashes through his own] I wasn't offended or anything, at that.

(Very quickly now, images flash: Luffy laughing; Masaomi's own thought bubble: a neon sign blinking "YES"; quicksand; heavy rain; again their hands, again an ice wall)

[She offers him a small smile.]

Okay, good.

[...He feels like he just stared into a strobe light what with all the things in her bubble. The squiggle returns, this time drawing itself into a criss-cross pattern as she considers it... long enough to see that smile, which makes his lips twitch and his bubble then has a red X cover the whole squiggle. He reaches out a hand to put it on her shoulder]

[Her own thought bubble stills as she looks at him quizzically, not shaking of his hand.]

[...Oh no resistance, cool]
