Appointments Post ( I )

This post here is for personal conversations which should happen but one or both of us doesn't want to put up a new post/log and thus we will just thread it out here. This can be used to thread with Masaomi anytime and anywhere. This can either be in person (with action), or via the journal's call feature (voice and/or written).

(The thunder cloud is getting bigger; Chouji's face; his headband; a bag of chips; his smile; and now their clasped hands; a gaping hole; a vanishing mist)

That's not an appropriate topic of conversation.

Ooookay. [Okay so the storm is mad (duh) ... wait. WAIT. WAIT. the hands again?

What about other attractions?

(Lightening flashes in that thunder cloud: a rush of faces, all too fast to fully register: Jet, Caesar, Allen, Zuko, Chouji, Michael, Masaomi, a fuzzy Aang, Haru, Neji, and several other faces of cute guys who have been/still are in Luceti)

I just said it wasn't appropriate. Why would you ask me that.

[Still looking at the thought bubble]

Are you trying to find out who I'm attracted to!?

[...Wow that was borderline dizzying but he feels like in the course of that he caught weirdass looking eyes and some dude with a tattoo over half his face. Really, Katara, really? He thought you had more taste!

...Buuut who am I attracted to?

[For the record his bubble has a small handful of girls in it. unlike Katara's, it isn't flashes, but rather them all in some large group. Identifiable are the likes of Kairi, Kaori, Ino, Tenten, ...curiously and perhaps unfortunately the girl Frey, Xion, Anri, Saki, and a half dozen others. Of them though, only two of them are glowing- Katara and Saki. Katara's glow is golden and Saki's is Silver. the irony is lost on him]

[That's just mean.

Because she really can't help looking up, and she hates herself as she does, because it shouldn't matter, and someone's thoughts were private, and - really, did she need to see who he was attracted to? That could only lead to bad things.

But she does, she looks up, and her eyes widen a little.

The glow would be something she could ignore, if it wasn't tied to Saki.

She stares for a moment.

It's just his emotions coloring--]

(An image of herself, reflecting his image, she glows, but reflecting her own perception, she's strangely faded with a giant red X over it; Saki smiling; larger than life and rather more attractive than they actually are, the other girls in his thought bubble overshadow her; thunder, lightening; the ice wall; sand)

[Katara huffs and swivels around on the ground so that her back faces him and crosses her arms under her chest.]

I don't want to talk about this, and I don't want to be left guessing about what I see in your thoughts. This isn't a game, Masaomi.

...Oh come on, Katara, Saki was cute, but she was never that cute.

[That's like a drop dead model sexy that he just witnessed in her thought bubble. There's the ice though. Hm]

[Katara narrows her eyes (sadly in the opposite direction) and stares straight ahead.

Fortunately for her, her thought bubble only reflects her annoyance in a thunderstorm.

...and then some sand. Actually, yes, that's a lot of sand appearing on the bottom of that thought bubble.]

And for that matter, you weren't pretty enough in that image. It's true I might flatter you, but consider it an objective appraisal.

(A door slamming, chains coming up to lock it, sand spilling out from beneath the cracks.)

I don't want to talk about this.

[True, it wasn't attraction, but still.]

...Holy shit, you're jealous.

[THIS IS A TONE OF PURE AND GENUINE AMAZEMENT]

[One hand falls back to prop her up as she twists her torso to face him.]

[And seriously, her thoughts are so WHAT right now, that there is just static reflected... static with a tiny golden light in one corner. That light? The light of victory. Because he didn't guess...]

You're jealous?! [It's repeated now, his eyes wide and staring at her thought bubble. Then he face. Then back. he's in a state of WHAT now as well so he's not - wait why? What? Who?

I just said I wasn't jealous!

[She can't help it, her gaze flickers up to his thought bubble for a second.

In a different corner of the static, it starts to buzz silver - was she? was she jealous?]

Why would I be jealous of someone who isn't even here!

I don't- [know. I guess I do know if I accept that as a possibility but that's absurd she wanted us to be friends-

These letters in his bubble are made of the squiggles from before, but then they become red in color and expand until they reform as-

Maybe with a gold glow around it-]

[His face is completely beat read now. He actually, despite this, also seems to be getting paler. He actually looks in danger of fainting at the moment. He struggles to come up with words, what are words. What are words-

[Paler still, because If that's true then that puts her whole thing with the "friends" into an entirely different context. He feels short on breath for some reason]

[Okay, now he's just speaking incoherently.

And she refuses to believe he might have somehow - door; chains; ice wall - got this in such a weird... and horrible way.

So she focuses on something else, because she's not even sure how else to respond.]

You look like you're going to be sick.

[Great, the thought of me liking him-- --makes him sick

Except not entirely - she is actually concerned.]

I... I do feel a little faint, yeah. [His voice gets weirdly high pitched here, and he leans forward now, breathing deeply with his eyes wide. He's no longer looking at her bubble. Just at her and-

But in his own bubble, it's an embossed image of theirhands holding, getting bigger and slightly smaller than bigger like it was a heartbeat]
