This post here is for personal conversations which should happen but one or both of us doesn't want to put up a new post/log and thus we will just thread it out here. This can be used to thread with Masaomi anytime and anywhere. This can either be in person (with action), or via the journal's call feature (voice and/or written).

How do you even eat this?

[Do you peel it? Bite it? What?

She inspects the fruit, poking at it.]

I... think you just bite it? It looks like a peach to me.

[A glossy... peach..]

A star-shaped peach?

[Well. She's seen stranger things.

This is probably a terrible idea, but... what harm could one bite do?

She nibbles on one end of one of its pointed arms and her eyes go wide.]

Wow.

[Wow? That sounds promising. He'll go to try to get his own bite and...

Wow]

[Um. Okay, you going to take the bite of it right out of her hand is a little much, as the fruit takes some time to work... So she just breaks off the piece she'd bitten and hands the rest of the fruit over to him.]

Maybe we should get another one.

[Because this fruit is bloody amazing.]

[so what if he's a little forward you know you're taken. He... sort of knows. But. Fine, he takes his part and goes back to nibbling]

Might be an idea...

[Greedy, as you now have most of the fruit, Katara plops the rest of the arm of the fruit in her mouth and - okay, pause, she closes her eyes at the explosion of flavor and -] Mmmm.

[- recovering, waves a hand in the air to collect the abundance of moisture in it, to gather some along her fingertips. She then sends it out to clip a fruit off the bough of the tree.

Must move to catch--]

[As she does this, he keeps nibbling. He doesn't move even from his sitting position, but his eyes widen. He looks at her with a sort of reverence. Because wow, that's still amazing no matter how many times he sees it.

...He loves this girl.]

[And catch she does, just barely making it, though it requires quite the stretch.

She turns to Masaomi, smiling warmly - maybe a little more warmly than a girl who's in love with someone else should be, but she has had about a fifth of the fruit now...]

Let's see if this one is as good.

[She breaks off an arm to keep it fair, handing it over to him, while taking another bite.]

[But he's still got a big one. Oh well. He takes this part and he'll bite it down himself. Maaah, this one is amazing too] Man, I would cook with these...

[Another bite and she's starting to feel... rather adoring.]

I'm sure it would be delicious if you did.

[It's strange - she's not even thinking of Luffy anymore. It awakens some suspicions, but... the fruit is so good, she takes another bite and the feelings of adoration and attraction deepen.]

You think so? Well, I do have some talent. [Chuckling. Another bite, actually]

[It... wouldn't be a bad thing if she got a little closer to him, would it? No, of course it wouldn't. Not at all...

A little hesitantly, Katara moves to sit next to him.]

You do. I have to admit, I wasn't expecting it, but I was surprised.

I guess I don't seem like someone who would be good for it.

[And he... motions for her to scoot even closer. but he's got no way to do that]

[Her eyes widen a little bit at that invitation, but Katara takes it, blushing slightly, and moves to be close enough next to him that any sort of happy accident would make their arms brush together.]

It's not something a lot of guys are good at, where I come from.

[Another bite of the fruit and the blush disappears, as it is simply the most natural right thing to be so near to him.]

[He relaxes more entirely. He doesn't need to show off to her, of course. He wants to! Oh, how he wants to, but there isn't a pressing need. Because right now, well... right now, he knows he's were he belongs.]

It's just one of my talents.

[markofthebrave]

[Katara rests her hand with her half-eaten fruit down by her side and leans over to rest her head on his shoulder.]

Mmm. Yes, it is. I guess I shouldn't have been surprised.

[generalflirt]

[And he wraps an arm around her - just a little] Naturally.

[markofthebrave]

[And taking the opportunity he provides, she moves even closer to him so that her side touches his, welcoming the almost-familiar contact with a not-yet-familiar fizzle of attraction.]

So what would you make with this if you could? Pie?

[And lifting up the fruit to take another bite.]

[Hmmm... He takes another bite, considering] Baking isn't my forte... maybe a stir fry with it like you would with pineapples. Or a salad.

[markofthebrave]

Well, maybe we can take some back with us! [She shifts her head off his shoulder to get a better look at him.]

I'd like to see what you come up with. And they're so good.

[generalflirt]

[And he smiles at her. Man... he would like that. These are good, and showing it off like that is a boost of his ego]

Yeah, we could take a handful - given how big they are I'd only need one or two, right?

[markofthebrave]

[She shrugs, still turned towards him.]

Probably depends on who you plan to cook for.

[And she'll take another nibble on the arm of the starfish.]

Now you just sound coy.

[Just... a little. He takes one more bite but no, actually, he'll lean in a bit towards her, turned in ]

[And Katara responds to him leaning in by tilting her head the slightest bit to the side, and a teasing smile curls her lips as she stays just where she is.]

Now why would you say that? It's an honest question.
