This post here is for personal conversations which should happen but one or both of us doesn't want to put up a new post/log and thus we will just thread it out here. This can be used to thread with Masaomi anytime and anywhere. This can either be in person (with action), or via the journal's call feature (voice and/or written).

[Hmmm... He takes another bite, considering] Baking isn't my forte... maybe a stir fry with it like you would with pineapples. Or a salad.

Well, maybe we can take some back with us! [She shifts her head off his shoulder to get a better look at him.]

I'd like to see what you come up with. And they're so good.

[And he smiles at her. Man... he would like that. These are good, and showing it off like that is a boost of his ego]

Yeah, we could take a handful - given how big they are I'd only need one or two, right?

[She shrugs, still turned towards him.]

Probably depends on who you plan to cook for.

[And she'll take another nibble on the arm of the starfish.]

Now you just sound coy.

[Just... a little. He takes one more bite but no, actually, he'll lean in a bit towards her, turned in ]

[And Katara responds to him leaning in by tilting her head the slightest bit to the side, and a teasing smile curls her lips as she stays just where she is.]

Now why would you say that? It's an honest question.

Because it's me and you here, Ka~tara. I think it's obvious who I'd want to make it for first, at very least.

[A light, pleased blush.

It's really ridiculous that he should still be able to make her do that, so she retaliates with a tease.]

Oh, I get it. You want me to be your test subject.

[generalflirt]

[Mock surprise, and now hand motions of someone working with a beaker as he continues] You caught me! I want to do some mad experiments on you.

[She misses the vast part of that innuendo, but she's not completely ignorant to... Masaomi's general patterns.]

You're saying something weird again, aren't you.

I'm choosing not to incriminate myself at this time!

[markofthebrave]

[Katara laughs and leans forward to plant a light kiss on cheek.]

Suit yourself.

[And she moves to stand fluidly, glancing over her shoulder at him.]

I guess now we'll never know.

[And then she'll start to move towards the tree. He's totally going to let her get away with that, right?]

[no way. She gets this expression and using his errie core strength he goes to get to his feet...]

[Unfortunately, sand isn't nearly as good of place to do that trick as asphalt or cement or even dirt. His heels dig in too deep and he ends up lurching forward, dropping his fruit in the process and landing on all fours. He groans at that ruining his cool and then proceeds to get up more conventionally. With that bungle out of the way, and a smile on his lips, he's going to put a hand on her shoulder tugging her lightly into a compromising position of sorts.

It's a gentle sort of hold though. Not so much that this is hormones or kissing or dramatically stopping her. Just more that this is how he does]

Hold on, you can't get away that easily. I might not be incriminating, but I am a smooth criminal.

[It's a joke. It's the lamest joke, but he says this smiling, touching her. Generally in a state of being very amused and very focused on her]

[His move to take hold of her wasn't entirely unexpected, and Katara just flows with it, smiling.

She rolls her eyes and smiles wryly at that joke before she shakes her head. Then she moves her free arm to wrap it lightly around his neck, leaning closer to him.]

Oh no, you've got me. Now what are you going to do?

[And he leans down closer to her, advancing to break the distance between their faces. It's a fluid movement, really, and in the midst of it-] Well, there is but one thing a man like me would "steal." Even so... I suspect that as it will be reciprocated, I shan't need to.

[He adopts an ironically formal tone and maybe a bit of a silly accent for that one one, leaning his face in towards her and tilting his head. He's going in for the kiss and ... well maybe there's a bit of expectation, but mostly hope she'll play along with it and meet him. If she doesn't, well, no prob, he'll rebound]

[Katara does give a light laugh at that accent - honestly, Masaomi, what even - but she tilts her head in response, leaning into him and meeting his kiss with her own.]

[There's no need or desperation in this one just a nice, loving thing. He holds it for all of a few moments, taking in a small whif of her scent as well, and then after what he deems an appropriate measure of time for this moment, he pulls back with a warm smile.]

[And loved is exactly what Katara feels - warm and wanted, safe and secure. When he pulls away, she looks up at him with her heart in her eyes.]

I guess you're right. That wasn't stealing at all.

[And she doesn't make the slightest move to pull away, because being like this in his arms is exactly where she wants to be.]

Called it. [With a sheepish smile. He doesn't make a move to disentangle them just yet either.]

[In that case, Katara is just going to take shameless advantage of him, and shift even closer so that their bodies are pressed together. She ducks her head and rests her cheek against his chest, smiling softly, simply happy.]

his arms shift position slightly, from something less in the department of a kiss to more in the department of holding. He doesn't rock, but he does enjoy the feeling of her resting there, smiling to himself. Right now, he can't help but think, he couldn't be happier.

He's not sure if he whispers it out loud or just sounds it out in his head as he mouths the words silently, but the moment does seem apt to say "I love you."]

[Katara shivers a little when his fingers brush against her wings, even turning to plant a light kiss in the area easiest for her to reach in return, which would be more or less in the area of his collarbone at this point. But then she settles her head back down, listening to his heartbeat.]

I love you too.

[And in this moment his heart soars. It's not unusual for her to be like that (to be honest, it's a very Katara-like thing to be so frank with her feelings) and he's not surprised despite feeling an odd nagging he's not heard it before at least in a while but he does feel like the luckiest man in this whole damn barrier. Probably this whole world. He keeps silent, in this little embrace. Comforted. At peace. Safe.

Loved.]
