So, who here's heard of dinosaurs?

[ He's been reading Michael Crichton lately, sue him. Also, he genuinely wonders how many not-Earth people have, given a lot of animals do seem similar between a lot of worlds, but... dinosaurs though. ]

[ Action ]

[ Well, there are normal staples of Masaomi's day: you can see him working the Convenience Store if you want, you can see him shopping for clothes, you can see him in the library (perhaps picking up some books in the aforementioned dinosaurs), or training (in a tank top and shorts) at the Battle Dome. At the end of the day you might also see him going to HQ for the end of the night.

But... something else is at the Dome today fore someone who wants special stuff. Namely, once he's tired and sweaty and Linda has worked herself hard, Masaomi is still using his room, but he's using it to project images of all sorts of dinosaurs based on a picture book that he picked up at the library. To see them in motion, because why wouldn't you try to do something like that? ]

So you guys. Can revive the dead.

Just fossils. [He doesn't entirely understand how it works. Something about cloning genetic material in the fossils or something like that??] We don't have zombies runnin' around.

[generalflirt]

So it's more like... cloning? It's not like you bring specific things back to life?

[ Either way, Jurassic Park... ]

Heck if I know, man. I don't have any fossil Pokémon. Maybe you should try askin' Senior Red instead? He's got an Aerodactyl on his team!

[ Wow ] And no one's gotten eaten?

[mischiefbreeder]

Nope.

Wow, I'm not sure if that's impressive or boring. We've got a movie all about the perils of reviving the ancient dead. All sorts of people got eaten.

What can I say? We're survivors! You should check 'em out in your Pokedex sometime. I don't have fossil Pokémon, but I gotta say, they're pretty cool! [you know, like Kabutops, which cuts your open and drinks your body fluids.]

So do I get some species, or do I just search out fossils?

Just look for rock-types. [Like he can remember what their species are.]

Eh, ancient ones tended towards rocks?

[mischiefbreeder]

Guess so! Or at least, that's what they get revived as.

You can change type from reviving like that?

[mischiefbreeder]

Well, if you can change type when evolving... Why not?

True, true... that's interesting though, that they might not have been rock types in the past, only to inherit it because they were revived from rocks... There's a lot you could think of from that.

I think you're overthinking it.

[ Snort ] Hahaha. Yeah, probably.

So why all the questions about dinosaurs, then?

[generalflirt]

I was rereading this book I read back when I was younger called Jurassic Park. It's about some guy who decides to bring them back to life - a fantasy, in my world, I'll add - so that he can make a big theme park-zoo with them. Turns out, that you can't contain nature. [ Shrug ] It reminded me how much I loved then back when I was a wee lad, and I got to thinking, "you know, a lot of words have similar animals, but do all of them have similar extinct ones?" or maybe "are there ancient extinct Pokémon?" or even, "did Katara's world used to sport Tyranostegos?"

Huh... Makes sense. Well, I can't say I'm an expert on ancient Pokemon, so your little quest there might be at an end. I know they're always discoverin' more new--and old--Pokemon, though!

And you haven't had pandemonium and people being devoured en masse yet, even.
