[So having got back from the mission on the late 23rd, Masaomi allowed himself roughly a day to detox. He didn't even really go to do his training regime. He just went around town seeing who he could talk to and generally enjoying being back in this village. Because he does, well... like it, these days. (if you want to have your character run into him on the 24th that's cool)

But sometime on the 24th or today on the 25th, he goes to visit Mikado... and Mikado's not there. He tries the journal, and he's- gone.

Gone home, that is. Again. He stares in shock for a moment, wondering what he should feel like. He's surprised by how he can't really feel anything but a general moroseness. He's not violently enraged like last time. He's not even totally sad, really. Mikado might have been his best friend at home, but he feels so incredibly distanced from that home, that life, and that destiny, going into the future, that he knows he's going back to. What he's learned and fought with Mikado about doesn't make it any better. So on the 25th, Masaomi seeks out Anri to talk with her before going to see if there's anything neat in the item shop. He then goes back to his apartment, having found something neat (feel free to run into him during this too if you want)]

Hey, Luceti. [Maaomi is now on the roof of his building. It's early evening, and he's propped the book up to see him sitting here in a chair. he has a flare gun in his hand and he's looking at the sky] It seems I'm the last man standing from Ikebukuro now. Weird how that works, huh?

[And then he points the flare gun straight up and shoots it - a flare into the night, like Men do (feel free to have your character action-react to a flare being shot up from the roof of C1 too). He then goes to cut off the recording

He then goes to send a message to MARS, in particular to CJ to try to summon him and haggle about a price on something]

[Aang figures he must be talking about Mikado - maybe even Anri as well. He's only vaguely puzzled about why Masaomi's holding some kind of gun - and then his sympathetical feelings are briefly displayed by surprise when it's fired.

Aah, that's exactly who I mean. [The camera's focused on the sky now though, he's just sitting back in his chair, but the angle doesn't really catch him.]

[A beat] I'm wondering if I could talk to you about prices for an Applied Shift.

[Selphie will just take a few moments to leave a quickly drawn heart for Masaomi to see when he opens the journal again. She really doesn't know what to say this time.]

[It's actually a while before he sees the heart. When he does, an hour or two later when he decides it's getting cold up here, he's feeling slightly numbed and very irreverent. ]

[She shouldn't be surprised by Masaomi's response but it still catches her off guard. Too stunned to say much else, Selphie's response is one of pure confusion.]

[ Mikado's name has completely vanished on the journals, and she hasn't a clue as to why it is-- and more importantly, what it means.

To get a proper grasp on the situation, Anri finds there to be no better solution than to go to his apartment and ask him personally if she can't grab his attention through the journal. She knocks, and she waits. She's a patient person, so the fact that there hasn't been an answer for the past 5 minutes doesn't particularly deter her.

She's yet to notice - or understand, rather - that Mikado isn't here anymore. ]

[It's later when he meanders back there. He was looking for Anri by now, really, to see if she's still around and then possibly to see if Mikado ended up leaving notes (he doubts it) like some people tend to. And as he struts back into the floor of the apartments, he hums to himself.]

Ho, Anri-chan.

[ He's not the person she's expecting-- but that doesn't go to say that she's diappointed. He'll probably have an answer if she can't find Mikado. She waits for an accomplice - Mikado, hopefully - to appear from behind him.

But there's nothing. ]

Mikado-kun isn't with you..

[ It's a clear statement rather than a question. She'd be lying if she said she wasn't worried yet. ]

[Shikamaru watched the flare from outside the building. Practice with Naruto ran late. He checks out the message on the journal on the way to the store. When he makes it to the roof it's with his own chair and a pack of Mountain Dew, which he'll set between them.]

Hope you didn't pay for that flare gun.

Nope. I found it in a rescue-survival kit earlier today. [He doesn't seem at all surprised to see Shikamaru come up next to him like this. He waves the gun in his hand, smiling a little] Neat, huh?

[So long as they never need everything in that survival kit.]

Wasn't bad. Saw it from across the bridge.

[He can picture it, though. Masaomi rummaging around through various odds and ends to find inspiration; something to use for a send-off. He's creative like that. There's probably a list in his head too, of various milestones and events and what sort of feelings they should reflect when each one is commemorated.

It's much different, from the last time.]

[Seeing as how they're neighbors and all, it's only reasonable that they'd run into each other now and again.

She never really likes when that happens. This time is no exception at all. She'll just... try to step to the side and slip past him and hope he doesn't get it in his head to do something like say hello.

[What indeed. He's really got nothing to say, he just needs to drag this chair up to the roof. It's a fold out chair, so it really shouldn't take too much effort. He slips past her - possibly accidentally knocking her with it - but he intends to do that without too much fanfare]

[ buffy might be in spike's body, but she's making an effort to patrol. and why not? being stuck inside all day while the sun was out wasn't at all pleasant. cabin fever had set in after the first few hours.

restless and still unused to these amped up senses and the differently proportions body, she reacts almost immediately to sight of a shot flare. at least one thing wasn't too different about spike's body from hers -- she could still rush up nearly ten flights of stairs without much inconvenience.

she barrels out onto the rooftop only to see... ]

[He's on his feet in an instant. He was just morosely sitting in a chair with the flare gun in hand and entertaining a few journal class, but he hears the door to the roof open abruptly. It's enough time for him to be up and ready-...

[Katara doesn't see this video recording until after she's come back from practice. As such it was already quite late, and she had to go in and give Ikki a kiss good night and...

She closed her eyes in pain for a long moment, sitting on her bed with the journal beside her.

My showing up will probably hurt him. Shikamaru's with him.

If by the time she gets there, he's still out, then he should see her coming. If not she'll just... go knock on their door, she guesses.]

[He's not still out by now, because the sun has long set. It got sort of cold, so he eventually came in. But he's not in the apartment- he's in the kitchen. If she noticed him before knocking, then he's in there scooping out some ice cream.

If she didn't, then he glances into the hall at the knock. And cough to alert he's there]
