Nothing, nothing. So, what're you up to?

Oh - uh... [ Truth be told? Not much. ] I'm just enjoying my new firepower, I guess. You?

I've experimented a little with my partner, but mostly I've been trying to stick to the same old, same old. [A little wave of his hand] Hence, this store.

[precipitous]

Oh - right. The yellow...thing. [ What was she even called? ] Well - sounds kind of boring, if you ask me.

For anyone else, maybe. But it was pretty potent for me and her, so I'm not going to object. However, if you wanted to liven up my day, Korra-chan, I'd never object.

And replace your little friend? I wouldn't dream of it.

Fan? [He tilts his head and... oh. Hah. He'd had some thoughts that this might be a thing before now but- well, whatever. He pushes the button on the all to make Linda appear in a flash of light on the ground]

Nope, it's her ball.

[systemshock]

[This is the part where Static is astonished. He stares for a moment before crouching down for a better look.]

Whoa. That's- that's a real Pikachu. In realistic 3D and everything.

[This was way better than Pokemon Stadium.]

In the flesh, even.

[Linda, for her part, looks up at the other boy and tilts her head, curiously. She's not sure what to make of him or being called realistic 3D, but hey, she was probably called out for a reason. ...Even if she wasn't really napping. She was thinking about it]

[systemshock]

Wow. So you're a pokemon trainer. [He looks at the other boy with a newfound sense of respect and wonder.] Wait. Are you... Ash?

Who's Ash? [Actually, no, dumb question. Linda goes to hike herself up the shelves as she shakes his head and inclines his upper body, lightly] Masaomi Kida. Linda here hatched in Luceti, so don't expect me to be an expert, but, I'd say I'm a bona fide trainer. [The Tsinku allows him to be a little more precise with it. It doesn't feel as bad to talk about what he doesn't know. Pride would just complicate things in this situation]

[systemshock]

Bona fide, huh? [Static does step forward to inspect the Pikachu. It's so different looking in real life. Less... cartoony. It's weird seeing actual fur.] So Pokemon just hatch here? Just like that? Cuz I haven't seen a daycare around here anywhere.

For what? Will there be a fight?

You said I'd have to wait. If I wanted to book some time with you, tomorrow's the likely answer, right? I'm more of a lover than a fighter anyway.

That is something you might want to keep in mind. Particularly in your specific case, given the relationship you already pursue.

That's cold, Mia-chan.

[Stated simply, but then, a part of him - the Tsinku in him, he suspects - does feel genuinely dejected, like when things are rebuffed with Katara. It's a weird emotion to be getting out of talking with Mia, which perhaps makes him realize how silly be's being]

Oh, he's one of those types? [He tuts a little, thinking carefully on what little he knows of Winry. And then, finally, he tilts his head to the side a little as a sort of shrug-nod] Yeah, I can see that working alright for you.

[She reaches to elbow him a little.]

Explain what you mean by that.

[He rolls with that, shifting his position a little.]

From what little I know about you, I'd say you really do fit the "compassionate" role which could walk someone like Boyfriend-san through it all.

Compassionate, you say? Perhaps.

[Normally she'd feel warmhearted at this, she just accepts it. Compassionate isn't something she can deny herself as being - or used to be. Winry simply nods in agreement as she thinks this feeling over.]
