[Masaomi, back from his mission steps up out of the tunnels... tired. He's quite tired, as is Linda (who is resting her pokeball which is clipped onto his vest. He has on the ninja flak vest he borrow from Shikamaru forever ago and also looks a bit beat up. Some of his sleeves are torn as are his pants. He has some cuts, some bruises, and some burns, not all of them healed but some of them healing. He also has one of his collapseable batons in his hand. Aside from this, his muscle build up is more obvious but-

But something different about the image - despite all that and the rain and the injuries, he's laughing once he looks up at the sky. Stronger. Stronger. He already feels it. Well, no time like the present, despite his tired he's going out to accomplish a few things. First is actually to go pick up something to drink from the grocery and pick something up from the item shop (feel free to run into him at either of those) and head over to Mikado's apartment. It's an important day, after all, and he did not want to blow him off for it. Besides, if he heads there now, he might make it as the guy is coming back to school and he might run into him before then.

After that, well, he'll spend his day with Mikado until that night (though anyone can run into him before then). This'll last until about 8PM, when he's going to be going to hang out just inside the battle dome for a reason which might obvious to a lot of people. (and no, he still has not changed his clothes, even if he might have cleaned up the more obvious injuries). And after whatever comes of that, he's going to go back to his apartment to meet up with his roommate and anyone he didn't run into through the rest of the day before finally popping open the journal.]

[Voice]

Masaomi Kida has returned!! I hope you all didn't miss me too dearly!! [Okay so he's tried and running on caffeine by now, but he's still grinning ear to ear] Some rain out there today, and man is it wet- [he resists saying "ladies I hope you didn't get too wet if you saw me today" but it's hard. He laughs to himself at that joke despite not saying] You can tell the sky's telling us something though, riiight? We're approaching spring, a time of love and lust and all between! So sound off!! Whooooo's got a special someone? Who's got a crush? You can trust me, I'm a Love Machine.

[Laughing at this, once more]

So ladies... and gentlemen. Don't speak up all at once.

She's getting better at that.

I know, right? Right! We worked on it - she learned how to do that in training. It uses magnetic charges.

[And he sounds so. So proud]

Heh. [Yeah, he's picking up on that.] She's not gonna have metal flying and sticking to her, is she?

[Because there are lots of pointy objects lying around at the moment, and such.]

Not that strong, usually. [Some of the knives probably shifted, actually- Linda's mastery isn't perfect. The pull to hops on the couch isn't very strong though, and at best they just skidded across the floor. But noticing that...]

...Wow, there's a lot out now isn't there?

Yeah. [Folding his hands behind his head, he surveys the room.] Was cleaning them up and doing inventory.

I'm glad you got back when you did, or I'd probably have missed you. I have a mission tomorrow.

[Say what-] Seriously?

Yeah.

[At least he's better up for it now. Around the time Masaomi left, it's probably worth noting he looked half-zombie.]

What sort of thing?

It's a special mission. From the sound of it, we're taking out some unknown entity.

Like an alien?

[He shrugs, not entirely sure.]

Or a monster. It's described as 'flesh-like'.

...Are you sure you can handle that?

I'm not sure if many people in this village can.

Ah. I didn't ask about them though.

[He shrugs, and moves back to seal some of these weapons into their scrolls.]

They're the ones I'm worried about. I wouldn't take the mission otherwise.

Hm. [He folds his arms behind his head] So you're helping them survive.

So goes the plan.

Then I'd have to say they lucked out, all things considered.

[There's a catch in his hand seals; blink and you'd miss it.]

We'll see.

[The living room gets a little smoky with the sealing, but it's not too bad.] We only have a couple days for it, so it should be short at least.

[his eyes are closed by now, leaning back like, haaah]

Still, good timing on my part.

Yeah.

You missed a lot.

[And his eyes pop back open for that]

[He nods. Aang being here... he'll let Katara tell him about that, if she hasn't already. She has that right... and he doesn't want to get involved more than he has to.]

I think there was a Dollars meeting yesterday.
