[So Masaomi Kida has a plan today. Namely, he's out to kidnap (for her own good) Katara. There's a few times he could do this. He considers going for her before school... but he's not a morning person and neither is she. After school feels like too little time, so he's opted to pull her aside towards the end of lunch (to hopefully evade Sokka), saying that he has forgotten something (which'll later evolve into "show you something" among other excuses). Well, him and Linda (because he's taken to bringing the pichu along to school, lately) And from there... the adventure begins.

Hours of inane things ensue, not to mention a handful of not-quite arguments about how late it is getting. Feel free to run into them more or less anywhere: item shop, Azzip pizza, various floors of various community buildings,Rec Center, south side of town, north side of town, generally more or less anywhere. Chances are you won't even need to be the first to speak, because you run a good chance of running into them talking! This'll be any time between lunch break at school and oh, early evening

[An ice boat is kind of a hard thing to miss. Shikamaru comes to a stop somewhere ahead of them, swinging up and around to crouch on a branch. It's only when he stops that he recognizes them.]

[She sighs and continues:] I was already late to the med lab at that point, anyway.

And anyway, it's not like I really have a schedule. That's Sokka.

[She just has responsibilities! A lot of them! That take up her time on a regular basis because she has to fit them in.

...also she the canoe is starting to draft even without her bending so she just sort of... stretches out her hands to 'ground' it, icing a path from the ice canoe to the shore.]

[He could beg to differ. School, med lab, waterbending practice. Hell, she even makes dinner round about the same time.

But it would be troublesome to point it out. Also Masaomi might blow a gasket.]

Shame. No point in having a schedule if you can't break it sometimes.

[Finally. Katara does, in fact, just move down the water she'd been using to anchor them to the ground and move the boat to the shore.]

Getting some practice in.

[Having dragged him out to the forest for chakra training lately, Masaomi's probably one of the few who wouldn't find this unusual. He's out in some part of the forest almost every day, before proceeding to slack off in public.]

[He can't help but say as he disembarks the boat with Linda (static clinging his hair) on his shoulder]

[Katara... is NOT surprised that Shikamaru practices. He'd better, if he was going to keep annoyingly beating her.

But she is surprised that the two of THEM are practicing.
