[.......Wait what?

Masaomi wakes up on the 19th (post event), and starts his day as normal (well aside from waking up a bit later than normal) until he realizes WAIT, WHAT about two or three different things all at once. He promptly gives up any semblance of a normal morning, instead opens his journal and writes/draws the following entry:]

What can any of you tell me about this [arrow up to the Luffy sketch] guy?

[...this kind of hurts, but not in an all-together bad way. Maybe it's better, to laugh at what happened.

Either way, Katara reaches out her hand. Poke. Right on his chest, just below his collarbone.]

[And she flattens her hand against him to shove. It's not enough to move him back under her own strength; he's stronger than her and she's pushing up, the angle is all in his favor, but it's enough to get the point across.]

I'm giving it to you. So sit down.

[Yes, but it's one of this things to pretend girls have power like that. So when she "shoves" him, he pretends it has force enough to send him all the way back to his ass with wide eyes. And he ends with it, smiling. At her. A loving smile, actually

Linda, sitting out of the way of a flying Masaomi now is pouting still, but looking at Katara with almost impressed eyes]

[...boy, what is that smile and why, gosh.]

[Katara does glance at Linda, actually, shaking her head before recovering completely and smirking at Masaomi.]

That's right, you stay over there.

[No sympathy for that fall, since she knows very well that there was no way she did that.]

Well I've been put in my place!

[She shrugs a little uncomfortably. All this for a very small answer.]

He seemed - nice. A lot like you. I hadn't really thought about it until now, but... they were very comfortable together. Of course the fruit made it that way, but it suited you.

[She'd like to see him be that happy. Just because she didn't return his feelings didn't mean she wanted him pining after her forever. It would be great to see him with a nice girl, happy and comfortable like that.

...a little lonely, maybe. But great, all the same.]

They were very comfortable... weren't they? [He means for this to be pensive, but there is a huge grin on his face as he says this, in spite of himself and (so he thinks) in spite of his own feelings right now. Comfortable.

I love you. It's not a lie. Is it? Hahahaha He starts to laugh, more at his own thought process than anything. A light, short laugh.]

She was radiant, you know. It was probably the comfort, but she showed all the beauty I see in you outright.

[Gaaaah, this again.

She should have closed the door on this topic. Why didn't she see this coming?

Oh man, look at his face.

She can't for long, she just sort of glances about.]

[And then she glances back at him and speaks a bit firmly, to better hide her discomfort:]

It was the fruit.

[He makes a firm "cut off" swipe with his arm before pointing a "gun" at her]

[She blinks, confused.]

[He pulls back his arm and snaps his fingers] Points! That answer was a ten-pointing, out of twenty-five!

[She recalls his 'twenty-five centimeters' and rolls her eyes.]

I just told you the truth. You can't score that.

I meant your fruit-born assertion. That's "my" truth, I can do whatever I want with it.

[She guesses that's fair, actually. But she's not prepared to face the consequences of admitting that.

Also, she's been sitting down for a really long time.

...sigh.] I guess so. But I meant it.

[And she moves to stand up and stretch a little, twisting her waist to the side for a moment.]

Your perceptions were just as altered as mine.

Then, yeah. [He'll admit that much. But oh, we're standing? Well, he can sit forever for all he cares but. He motions for Linda to crawl up his arm. Sensing that's what, she complies, and he stands]

[...well, she was going to sit back down again, but. Okay, she can work with this. Katara takes a half-step closer, ignoring that last bit of communication.]

[His hair is staticing over to Linda again but...]

Be...cause. When I think back to "him" I think I want to be more like him.

[Frowning lightly and not thinking before she speaks.]

[Say what? He blinks, throwing her a curious look which... probably looks silly given Linda is attracting half his hair]

He never had to confess to her, or face her when she was mad, or live with her rejection and still try to be her friend. You're doing all of that. That's way more impressive than anything he did.
