Appointments Post ( I )

This post here is for personal conversations which should happen but one or both of us doesn't want to put up a new post/log and thus we will just thread it out here. This can be used to thread with Masaomi anytime and anywhere. This can either be in person (with action), or via the journal's call feature (voice and/or written).

That was my plan, in fact. [He turns back to the two of them, Linda specifically.] It'll be training for the both of you, so you're not left out.

And I be counting on you, Linda! [She looked haughty at Shikamaru until Masaomi spoke up. Then she was wide-eyed and attentive! She also averts her gaze when Masaomi looks down at her, but when he turns to look at the tree to psyche himself up she is looking at him like a schoolgirl in love.

...This is your life, Shikamaru]

[mutter mutter, plopping down to watch]

I'm going to go out and a limb and assume the first step's the most difficult? [As he puts his foot on the tree. He tries to concentrate chakra in it, but he's not sure if it's enough or too little or... so he's reluctant to remove the one planted on the ground]

Chouji and I had a harder time maintaining it towards the top, but it's different for everyone. You can take it slow. You can also try a running start.

Ask me and I'll tell you this is a psychological barrier. I might as well go for slowly, see if I can't get used to it?

[Okay, he keeps his foot there, tries to pull it off- he can, back on. Now to get himself to lift his leg on the ground]

[Sure, do what you like. He'll let Masaomi give it a few turns on his own, see what his approach is like before narrowing down what tips he needs to give him.

He's in awe. Which makes him lose concentration and fall on his ass. Linda didn't catch him because he didn't get any further up]

Oi, oi, Linda. Where's the teamwork? [Not much of a reprimand though; he quickly loses interest after the reminder. So long as it's Masaomi's ass and not his arm, it's fine. In a normal situation they wouldn't be doing this so cautiously.]

[He's laughing, rubbing his ass now. Hahaha. He laughs. Linda, for her part, is shrugging - dude, it was only a few feet :T But okay!! Masaomi gets up to plant his feet]

[No he is not. It's less every time, but the first step is always the one hw's hesitating the longest on. Often it's just that, a distinct slow start. But sometimes he puts too much into the first step, resulting in it failing right there. Only when he falls from more than his first or second step does Linda catch him, but it is getting there]

[He lets that go on a little longer, until the pattern doesn't seem to be changing. He keeps his head tilted up, to watch the clouds.]
