So, who here's heard of dinosaurs?

[ He's been reading Michael Crichton lately, sue him. Also, he genuinely wonders how many not-Earth people have, given a lot of animals do seem similar between a lot of worlds, but... dinosaurs though. ]

[ Well, there are normal staples of Masaomi's day: you can see him working the Convenience Store if you want, you can see him shopping for clothes, you can see him in the library (perhaps picking up some books in the aforementioned dinosaurs), or training (in a tank top and shorts) at the Battle Dome. At the end of the day you might also see him going to HQ for the end of the night.

But... something else is at the Dome today fore someone who wants special stuff. Namely, once he's tired and sweaty and Linda has worked herself hard, Masaomi is still using his room, but he's using it to project images of all sorts of dinosaurs based on a picture book that he picked up at the library. To see them in motion, because why wouldn't you try to do something like that? ]

At least he gets to see the pikachu of the moment though when he follows Masaomi over to the counter - and, of course, his own. Who gives him a welcoming sound and a wave, right before he chucks over one his spicy nuts to the trainer. Red catches it, just - or he traps it against his chest his the heel of his hands. Ah... ahhhhhh....

ok let's make small talk. ] So, how much do you know about pokémon? Do you only know about pikachus and the pokémon your friends have?

Yes, that's right. There are quite a few Pokemon that used to be around during prehistoric times, but are no longer living among us today. And, naturally, there are many researchers and archaeologists dedicated to studying Pokemon fossils from the ancient past in order to try to better understand the Pokemon that once predominantly roamed the world. Some of them have even created special machines that can revive these Pokemon using the fossils left behind...yes, the world of Pokemon archaeology has quite a fascinating taste to it when you think about it!

[...And yes, he really did just casually say that they have the technology to bring dinosaurs back to life where he's from, you're not imagining that.]

I know a few more than that, but I wouldn't call myself an expert or anything. It's been two years, and I still haven't totally memorized all those type-matches.

Like what's weak and strong? Does learning that stuff matter here anyway? Unless you want to figure it out for fighting against other trainers.
