This post here is for personal conversations which should happen but one or both of us doesn't want to put up a new post/log and thus we will just thread it out here. This can be used to thread with Masaomi anytime and anywhere. This can either be in person (with action), or via the journal's call feature (voice and/or written).

[Yes. But it didn't mean anything, every time he's been around one or touched one, or done it himself. So he doesn't say that.]

If you were hoping for tips, they don't have any good ones.

[His hand is heavier though, holding Masaomi's shoulder because he can't share his sympathy in words.]

I'm surprisingly too tired to get excited for Katara saying "yes."

[And he's almost too tired to get that, blinking like he's lost until his brain backtracks to fingernail jewelry and further from there until he gets it. He does smile then, a little. Genuine.]

I'd be happier for you both [because that says so much for Katara, doesn't it?] if I didn't know you well enough to tell when you're running away from the subject.

But it's okay. [He loosens his grip enough to pat Masaomi's shoulder.] I don't need to know it to see how much is there now...

Mm. [Another shoulder pat; movement for the sake of movement to wake himself up a little.] So. Terms?

It's "only one date," we're not dating, and it can't be this week.

Heh. [Not in the least surprised that's being angled for.]

I'm sure you'll come up with a cool one that isn't taken.

[And now he puts his arm around Shikamaru's shoulder]

[--that would be so much more meaningful if that wasn't the dislocated shoulder. Ow ow ow, so much for painkillers. He hisses through his teeth and tries to pull out of that.]

Oh well, he keeps a lop-sided grin on his face, though inclines his head a bit apologetically.]

Mmmhm. I'm confident.

Ah well. [Still stings, but he'll get over it.] Heaven holds no interest to me, when you can't watch the clouds from it. I can root for you without understanding it.

[and he taps his shoulder (the good one), smiling]

Mm. [Another step towards the bathroom and he turns his back, sluggish.] Later.

[Because he'll probably fall straight asleep when he's done there. If he didn't want to move before the shower, like hell he'll be capable of it after.]
