Appointments Post ( II )

This post here is for personal conversations which should happen but one or both of us doesn't want to put up a new post/log and thus we will just thread it out here. This can be used to thread with Masaomi anytime and anywhere. This can either be in person (with action), or via the journal's call feature (voice and/or written).

Your three-dimensional vision just hasn't recovered to appreciate it. [But he shies the light away again, back to the log.] Come on and focus, now.

After you blinded me! [ :T But fine, whatever, he goes back to focusing]

[WOW DETAILS.]

[Okay back to focusing. He's still not sure he gets this. And he's starting to think that focusing this much is eventually going to throw off being able to do the signs on cue. Still... he has to try]

Give it another shot. Better to put things to test as you think of them.

[Sign, sign, sign- pause, restart, goes through all five, fails, restart. Hmm]

[All those hours, and he'll probably still need more. Shikamaru restrains a sigh and reminds himself to have Masaomi to continue practicing the chain in off hours back at the apartment.]

[In all likelihood, yes. He still can't figure out how to get his chakra out from his body properly. Or maybe he just isn't focusing or anything. He just... eventually loses his temper and kicks the ground before crossing his arms to lean up against a tree]

[...] We'll try again tomorrow.

Mmm, alright.

[Shikamaru switches the flashlight off, blinking at its absence but adjusting quickly to the shadows. He walks over to the tree Masaomi is leaning against and puts a hand on his shoulder.]

You did good today, though. Let's head back. I'll get you a Mountain Dew.

[When he's touched, he reigns in his frustrations and plasters and irreverent smile onto his face. He nods and goes to get in pace]

Your treat, even?

[Shikamaru claps his shoulder twice with a grin, trying to encourage with the enthusiasm.]

Yeah. I'll drag my ass into town and pick up a twelve-pack.
