This post here is for personal conversations which should happen but one or both of us doesn't want to put up a new post/log and thus we will just thread it out here. This can be used to thread with Masaomi anytime and anywhere. This can either be in person (with action), or via the journal's call feature (voice and/or written).

Oh. [He blinks. This has something to do with Katara doesn't it.] But... Even people with that much faith in me can still tell when I'm doing too much and- and not thinking right. My... limits, I guess.

[And he's a bit more puzzled at the hero thing, misunderstanding right.] Yeah? I... wasn't really a hero out there. It's only harder to be try to one in this world.

On the contrary, being a "hero" is easy here. It's cheap, too. Really cheap, probably not even worth five hundred yen.

[And he claps Aang now-- on the head. As best he can, he tries to palm the bald dome, brushing it with his fingers]

But being an Avatar, man? I bet that's real hard.

[He doesn't really follow Masaomi's 'hero' stuff. And the hand on the head is kind of weird. He raises his eyes to look up at Masaomi's arm. But that second sentence? Sounds like the clearest thing Masaomi's ever said to him.]

It is. I mean... it was hard back home, too, a lot of the time, but it's different here. I don't think that being in a different world means I don't have to be the Avatar anymore, but... I don't know how to help this world. Or... or most of you. [Even all of his closest friends felt beyond his grip often.]

If you were to ask me, my gut tells me "you can't," [And he pulls his arm back... lightly closing his eyes] but I hate my gut, Avatar. To be honest, for how often it chastises me, I feel like I should just rip out my small intestine.

[A light tongue click]

"Ganbatte," then. Mmm?

Heh... That's okay, Masaomi. You'll be better off holding onto your gut. Where else would you keep your food? But I know it might be impossible. It still won't feel right if I don't try, at least.

What's a ganbatte?

"Good luck," or maybe "do your best," a little of both, really.

Then thanks, Masaomi. Having some support means a lot. And I will do my best, even if I can't save this whole world. If I can even just make some small changes for the better... that'd be something, wouldn't it?

[His eyes still closed, he shakes his head and exhales, pointedly. He should look up at the sun again, but closing his eyes felt so good]
