This post here is for personal conversations which should happen but one or both of us doesn't want to put up a new post/log and thus we will just thread it out here. This can be used to thread with Masaomi anytime and anywhere. This can either be in person (with action), or via the journal's call feature (voice and/or written).

[She sits there and absorbs that for a moment. And then quietly slides her arm around his shoulders and tugs him towards her so she can put her other hand on his waist and give him an awkward half-hug.]

I'm glad you all were spared that, honestly.

[He leans into her, just a little. Not... onto her, just in her direction]

And I'm sorry I wasn't there.

[She doesn't pull back. Not just yet. She hesitates for a long time and then whispers by his ear:]

Zoro died.

[generalflirt]

[It actually takes him a while to play who Zoro is. But then, a memory within a dream hits him and he frowns deeply.]

...I am so sorry, Katara.

[markofthebrave]

Me too.

[Her heart hurts so much.

Katara pulls back and waves some of the fog that had gathered between them away so that she can see his face clearly.]

I'm really glad you came back.

[generalflirt]

I couldn't let you down like that, Katara.

[I can't die. He owes her too much for that, whatever he had said to Davis. And his frown quirks into something which isn't quite a smile]

[She gives him a small smile.]

So... have you seen Linda yet?

[generalflirt]

...Not yet and I am dreading that.

[In fact, he even shivers a little]

You don't think putting it off is going to make her less mad, do you?

[generalflirt]

Oh I know it won't, but I don't wanna go in there anything less than fully alert.

[And right now he's still sore. And tired.

...But he probably will be for days and he can't put it off that long. He laughs a bit at it]

Okay. [She smiles a little hesitantly.] And you're sure you don't want to rest?

[generalflirt]

The sun's only going to be out another hour or two at most, right? I can last that.

[Actually, given how close to winter this is... one more hour would be generous]

Okay, but... I should be getting back to work.

[She doesn't move one inch, though, not even to move her hands.]

[generalflirt]

Mmm. I don't want to keep you if you're needed, but if you've got the time and will to indulge me, could you stay? Just ten more minutes.

[He closes his eyes at that]

[markofthebrave]

...well, how could I turn down a request like that?

[She'll stay.]

[generalflirt]

Thank you. [With a little smile and his eyes still closed. It'll be a quiet thing - he'll probably request the sunlight opened up some more with the waterbending. He'll probably even crack a few jokes, lazily. But mostly, it's just sitting next to Katara and enjoying being next to her. Putting off everything else he knows he has to go do and loving the company of one of his dearest friends.]
