Appointments Post ( II )

This post here is for personal conversations which should happen but one or both of us doesn't want to put up a new post/log and thus we will just thread it out here. This can be used to thread with Masaomi anytime and anywhere. This can either be in person (with action), or via the journal's call feature (voice and/or written).

You can probably come to practices in the morning, if you wanted, right, Grandpa? [ They do airbending every day, and that's probably the quickest way to learn anything about it, although Ikki doesn't mind demonstrating solo, either. ]

[Mornings are so not Katara's scene. But she knows how much Aang values that time with Ikki.]

Maybe a few of them.

[She's okay with being the bad guy in order to keep some things sacred.]

[It's a comforting thought, that Soren could adapt to something airbender-like. Then it could be more like him and Appa. But that wouldn't change the battling aspect, would it.]

Y-yeah, I'd be glad to come along sometimes and see if I can help with Airbendery stuff.

That'd be my honor, actually. I mean, it's on Soren and Ikki to cooperate, but. [Like... him and Linda. Man that was an uphill battle. But he doesn't want to highlight that to Ikki and Aang. Katara... knows. How much he had to struggle to become proper battle partners with her]

[ Ikki just listens to this part. Cooperating doesn't sound bad to her - and that's probably because she gets along with Soren, and the moments where he thought his ideas were better didn't really stick out, as of yet. He's had more training than her, and that's...probably going to be fun times. ]

But that's something that we can work on tomorrow. We'll have to work out a schedule once school starts, Ikki. Right now I think it's important just to get Soren settled in at the house.

Yeah... I guess we gotta make room for one more!

Well, I shouldn't let me keep you, but I shooould also tell Gold in good faith, if we're agreed.

[ Oh, lemonade guy! ]

D'you mean we should go, or am I still staying?

We should all go. [She glances at Masaomi.] Unless you think Ikki and Soren should meet with Gold, in which case I'll wait here too.

[You are so, so going to have to deal with Katara checking in on this process constantly, Masaomi. I know, you're heartbroken.]

[And this guy too! He just... nods along with what Katara says.]

Yeah. Me too.

[...SIGH. This makes everything way more complicated... he would have preferred Ikki and Soren to meet with Gold, honest. It would have been Good and Proper. But right now...

He considers a moment, glancing back at Ikki and Soren, and then back at them. He doesn't think Gold will object, but if he shows even a hint of doubt it'll be a mess here, so-]

He can meet her later. Settling into the house can be a priority.

[ ...Well, that's that, then! Oh, although she does have another question. ]

Then, we'll see you again later?

[Curious glance. Will we?]
