...He's here to flirt with girls. He hasn't done it in a while, he's in just the sort of mood where he wants to do it again. So if you're in town and a pretty girl, he's liable to go and flirt with you. If you're a dude, well then you can witness him doing it. React to him, stand there to be reacted to? I was challenged by an idiot, and it was technically a pokemon battle. ...He just seemed to miss the part where it's supposed to be mostly the pokemon fight.

Because I didn't break anything? It's just some muscle strain.

It's never a good idea to hide stuff from your healer. Especially when that person is my sister.

You make it sound like she's my exclusive doctor, Sokka.

I'm not sure he thinks I'm ready for students yet. [I'm not even sure of that.]

I can't know his mind, Sokka. I can't even really know yours, I just know my own. You can tell him whichever you think is better: two weeks, or I'm with you. Maybe both! [He chortles here] And let him decide which is more prudent.

[a light pause] After all, things are much more complicated now.

[Lamely:] I don't think I need to tell you Katara's going to be a mess right now. My goal for your respect's still there, of course, but still.

[There's a lot of things he's not saying. Because things are complicated, Masaomi is right. And extracting him as a factor isn't as easy as telling him to go away. And Katara wouldn't be happy even if it did. So frustrated as he is, he's not going to push it.]
