[It's later than he expected to be back from his mountain sojourn, really, when he comes into the town on Wednesday night. Shikamaru, let alone Silver, probably came back before him, but he finally makes it back then, goes to his apartment for a much, much needed proper shower and goes to bed.

So it is on Thursday that Masaomi's properly back in down, Linda on his shoulder. He's skipped class for... well, a long while now, so when he gets up surprisingly early, one of the first thing he does is actually go to school, possibly with an ear to speak with the professors or anyone who missed him from that. After that, House 11 to see how all the people he knows from there are doing. Once that's done, he heads over to the Battle Dome for a few reasons. One of them is to try to see Law, one of them is to ... well he decides to test out the training in the Battle Dome, preferably with Silver or Gold or someone else who knows Pokemon to see if he can run them before going back to the plaza. In the plaza he has some intention of lurking around the Smithy and the library. But also just trying to integrate back into socializing with people, maybe break into some light flirting, if he can muster the gusto? Trying to normalize. And once that is done, well, if he didn't run into some people he's of the mind to run into after all that in order he'll be going to Mikado's apartment and then the Avatar House on the south end of town. And then, of course, back to his place at night.

tl;dr options in order:
A) School (also includes getting lunch in the break period)
B) House 11 (after school)
C) Battle Dome (either lurking in its clinic or fighting digital pokemon in the rooms or getting refreshments between bouts
D) Plaza (in particular smithy and library - will be chatting up people, might hit on girls)
E) Community Building 7 (in particular Mikado's apartment)
F) House 56
G) Community Building 1 (in particular his and Shikamaru's apartment and kitchen on that floor)

You can also run into him in transit for any of these locations, naturally. Oh, right, and he'll be wearing something akin to this, so no soulpatch or whatever he was wearing int he experiment. With a small bag and Linda's luridly yellow pokeball in his pants pocket]

♫ I just can't do that... ♫ [Twirl, and this time a hand goes under her chin while the other goes around her waist. He tilts her head] ♫ Maybe I am a prat~ ♫

[Leaning his head down, smiling]

[Katara barely - barely - resists the urge to stomp on his foot. She blushes at the way he's lifting her head - a sudden flash back to the mistletoe again - and does her best to duck her head away and attempts to shove him back instead. Of course, this may not be a successful maneuver, considering the difference in their physical strength.]

Quit it!

[He drops the hand and rolls with the shove long enough to lurch back his upper body. He keeps his feet planted back where they are though, and then springs back his upper body. He doesn't touch her this time, instead just looking right in front of her- but he does this next part louder]

♫ She said quit it! I did quit it But now it's time to ask the lady fooooooor- ♫

[And he raises one hand while bring the other around her waist. This next part is off-beat:]

[...well, considering she's messed this up so much, saying no to that smile seems like it was a small thing to do. Plus... maybe he'd leave off the 'date' question.

[Well then, hand still on her waist, he'll have the other one take one of her hands. And once he's accomplished that-]

...Fair warning, I'm a terrible dancer.

[She looks down, hoping that it's okay, and on the verge of blushing as she looked at their hands before glancing up at him. Her eyes are a bit wide.]

...I've never danced like this either.

Tell you the truth, I've never danced period. [Beyond what... you know he does on a daily basis with the weird body movements. With no music, he decides to hum a step, but he hasn't quite decided what the step should be. ...But he tries to take a tentative step to the right to lead her in]

[...all she can think about right now is Aang, and now nervous she was when she started dancing with him in the cave.]

Well, it's just me here. And it's not like I'll know if you do it wrong.

[She follows.]

[Okay then, a few more steps, right, left, back, back. Maybe he should try a twirl thing or a more precise movement? But... he picks his tune. Namely, a slowed down (and missing some beats, let alone acoustics/guitar) version of this is being hummed. He actually briefly considers singing but he knows that would be weird.

...Which is why he's totally blushing now, feeling Weird. Not a bad weird, but weird]

[Yeah. This is way weird. At least they're off the road. And when he starts to blush, she looks away out of fear that she'll start too. She's grateful for the space between them, and very aware of his hand on her waist.]

[Still humming... actually. Let's try to spin or something. He has no idea how you actually do it, but maybe like... this?]

[Maybe. Fortunately, Katara's naturally adroit when it comes to movements, and so she manages to follow through on that lead without tripping over anyone's feet. She even smiles a little.]

[HOLY SHIT THAT WORKED.

The grin on his face at the result of that is palpable and she actually stops humming a bit in how surprised he is, and he almost, almost trips, even]

[Humming stop: check.

Near pause: check.

She goes to pull away.]

Is that the end of the dance?

N-no, of course not!

[OH MY GOD THIS IS SO AWESOME. He tries to get back in some sort of step, but right now his heart is beating into his ears and a grin is still plastered all over his face. To be fair, it might make it more fun as his confidence in this increases]

[She still feels ridiculous, but... she allows herself to get drawn in.]

All right, maybe a little while longer.

[Another spin moment happens, and in the aftermath of that one, he actually makes his hold around her waist somewhat tighter, more secure. He can't help it. Closer together now, he's still got the dopiest smile]

[She allows the tighter hold only as long as he allows her to lean against his arm, keeping their bodies apart. This dance is weirdly intimate enough without turning it into a moving embrace.
