[So Masaomi Kida has a plan today. Namely, he's out to kidnap (for her own good) Katara. There's a few times he could do this. He considers going for her before school... but he's not a morning person and neither is she. After school feels like too little time, so he's opted to pull her aside towards the end of lunch (to hopefully evade Sokka), saying that he has forgotten something (which'll later evolve into "show you something" among other excuses). Well, him and Linda (because he's taken to bringing the pichu along to school, lately) And from there... the adventure begins.

Hours of inane things ensue, not to mention a handful of not-quite arguments about how late it is getting. Feel free to run into them more or less anywhere: item shop, Azzip pizza, various floors of various community buildings,Rec Center, south side of town, north side of town, generally more or less anywhere. Chances are you won't even need to be the first to speak, because you run a good chance of running into them talking! This'll be any time between lunch break at school and oh, early evening

[Sigh. Katara is not yet worried enough to go and physically remove Linda, but she does put on a Stern Tone.]

[B-but...! Oh poo, fine. Linda releases Masaomi's leg, popping off easily onto the ground with an understanding look at Katara.

[Katara sighs.] I told you to watch how you talked about her mother.

[And then she moves to crouch down on the ground and holds out a hand to Linda. Good girl, you stopped. You get to be petted, if you so desire.]

[Oooohhh, that... doesn't really make sense, but okay. Alexis' tone is genuine.] I'm sorry I asked.

[She does desire it. Get to it girl :| It took a lot of effort to listen to you but you're generally reasonable]

I think you're giving her and over-inflated image of Chuchu... ah. But don't worry your pretty head about it, Alexis-chan. It's my bad.

[And petting commences, although Katara sighs at Masaomi.]

I think she can be trusted to have whatever image she wants of her own mother, Masaomi.

...oh, Alexis. Katara turns to her.]

Linda doesn't like it when Masaomi speaks dismissively of her mother.

[Alexis nods.] Gotcha. I think I can empathize with that.

I wasn't being dishonest... [Sigh. Oh well]

That's not the same thing as being respectful.

[There, there, Linda. A few more pets and Katara straightens. You can go back to your trainer now.

[That's true. Honesty doesn't automatically mean respect. Alexis stands to the side, kind of out of the loop, and offers Masaomi a somewhat sympathetic look.] How's your leg?

Eeeeh, it's nothing I'm going to die from or anything.

[To show this he stomps on it a few times. Which hurts a bit, but he didn't bleed, so.]

Are you sure?

[She asks with concern. And then smiles a bit.] Alexis could take a look at it for you.

[A glance at her friend.] You've been wanting more practice with Nala, right?

[Alexis looks vaguely alarmed at the suggestion. True, she'd been practicing, but...

... She'd never had a live victim before.]

Oh... I don't know...

[Oh, Alexis, not Katara? He blinks, and then looks curiously at the redhead. Not quite as expected]

It would be good practice.

[But she's not going to push Masaomi to do it if he's uncomfortable.]

[He is a little uncomfortable with it actually, he finds. And he tenses just a little bit for it but... no, let's not make a scene]

[It's just Nala, bro, don't worry. Besides, Katara totally moves over to supervise. Now you get two gorgeous gals looking you over. Win/win?]

[Of course it's win/win. Don't look so tense, Masaomi. Alexis crouches next to him, lips pressed together and speaking softly -- and hoping her rambling to Nala isn't overheard. Failing that, commented on.]

Okay, Nala. I've been practicing and I'd really like to be able to do this. Maybe with a minimum of difficulty and fuss. ...Not that you've ever given me a fuss. Usually it's the other way around. But I'm listening and trying.

[And she's still rambling softly under her breath as she raises her hand and held it just over the spot Linda had grabbed him.

... Hey, look. It's working.]

[Wow what a ramble. But he doesn't say it... he tries to smile, but in spite of himself it feels weird, even if it's soothing. Nala's healing gives a sense of warmth, it's not the same feeling as what Katara would normally do, because Katara's own water-thing is cold, which often runs at the same time as her use of Nala.

... Weird weird weird.

Oh well. Linda's bite didn't break skin, just bruised and scrapped a bit. The scrape clears up quick enough. The bruising isn't showing yet so you can't tell there]

[But by the time alexis will be paying attention, there's a smile plastered on him]

Eeeeh, not bad.

[Katara crouches down for a moment to peer at it and then grins at her friend.]

Good job! How are you feeling?

[She knows that for first learners, working with Nala can be exhausting.]

[Despite feeling just a little drained, Alexis grins at the praise and the results. Not bad for a first time with an actual living victim.]

Thanks. [And she nods. She's good. She looks up at Masaomi.] All good?
