[.......Wait what?

Masaomi wakes up on the 19th (post event), and starts his day as normal (well aside from waking up a bit later than normal) until he realizes WAIT, WHAT about two or three different things all at once. He promptly gives up any semblance of a normal morning, instead opens his journal and writes/draws the following entry:]

What can any of you tell me about this [arrow up to the Luffy sketch] guy?

[And now he's eyeing that conversation above with Sanji a little more carefully.]

[Yeeeeeeeah and that conversation disappeared behind a filter. Okay. 99.9% chance this is about Katara.

Hnngh. Judging by how freaked Masaomi is when he sees him, he'll have his answer on whether or not Sanji threatened to murder him.]

Good Spirits. Hour... hour and a half?

Oh, and Masaomi... about Sanji up there. Just so you know, he's a decent guy but he's very, very protective of Katara, and he has a hell of a temper on him when he gets going. Tread carefully, alright?

That's a pretty serious accusation, isn't it...

[A very audible sigh. No kid, I'm not saying he's going to hurt you. That kind of sigh.]

You're misunderstanding. I'm not accusing him of anything. I'm telling you he's very, very protective of Katara and the two of them are very close. As in, his opinion matters to her. And if he gets pissed, he forms one very quickly some of the time.

... do you see what I'm trying to say?

[Do you? He hopes so.]

Aa... that's good.

[Well that not 100% filtered conversation with Katara down that which takes place after this one might say otherwise, but]

So... an hour an half, right? Good Spirits?

[He'll get to that when he gets to that. Which will probably be in a while. As. He. Doesn't feel all that terribly motivated to do so.

(And private conversations with Ace and Sanji would tell him that probably no, he didn't. SIGH.)]

Hour and a half, Good Spirits. [Confirming.]

[Masaomi will be there on time. He's actually dressed for this, unlike pretty much every other conversation here. But...! There's something extra. Namely, as he walks in, there is a pichu (with a tuft of hair which makes her vaguely resemble Gold) on his shoulder]

[Law's already there at a table, with a bottle of something blue in front of him, and a glass with more blue liquor in his hand.

And then he blinks.

What is that? A pet giant mouse? Whatever it is, it's awfully cute.]

Oi, Masaomi. Over here. Who's your friend?

[Only about a foot tall so not that giant yet. But... he'll take up a seat next to Law] My new partner, apparently.

[The pichu... doesn't seem to disagree with that]

Partner?

[He does not understand. Law is not acquainted with Pokemon.]

What's his or her name?

[He will also get around to ordering drinks soon. Just as soon as the Pichu stops monopolizing his attention with the adorable.]

W-well... I'm still deciding on that. She just hatched about an hour ago.

[He totally wants to name her "Linda" but Gold said that was lame. the Pichu, once Masaomi is sitting, is going to get off his shoulder to leap on the table now. It's worth noting she's giving off some static electricity even now, so Masaomi's hair is a bit weird as a result]

Aa... I'm sure it will be a good one. [He smiles at the Pichu and outstretches a finger to rub her behind the ears (and totally cheating with Tsinku to avoid any shocks)] Right, little miss?

I can hope so!

[Note the minor electrical burns under his chin. Or don't. Volt Tackle sob. But right now, the pichu just isn't going to shock so much as just continually give off some static, complying with a little sigh as the rubbing before squirming away. Hmph hmph]

[Oh, he sees those war wounds. But in keeping with continuity with Katara's thread, he won't comment on them (yet) and therefore offer to heal them.

Instead, as the pichu has had enough of his fussing:]

Anything I can get you to drink?

[Except his Romulan ale. Your liver is not ready for that]</small.

To tell you the truth, I'll follow your recommendation.

[He knows his drinks.. a little. Not well at all, really, so he'll just play it up]

[Hmm...]

Guess the question is... how fast do you want to get drunk? I'd recommend something like beer or sake, personally. The morning after is not as bad. And hard liquor... well, if you're going to brave that, I don't recommend it straight for you yet.

Something like a rum and coke with a bit of lime would probably be good.
