This post here is for personal conversations which should happen but one or both of us doesn't want to put up a new post/log and thus we will just thread it out here. This can be used to thread with Masaomi anytime and anywhere. This can either be in person (with action), or via the journal's call feature (voice and/or written).

[So not a morning person. But... he's up by now, dressed, done some morning stuff, and actually is well on his way to starting the day. He hasn't really checked the journal much yet, but he goes to get the door before Shikamaru. Probably because Shikamaru is either asleep or out

...Katara looks upset.]

[She is upset. She is so upset that she hasn't even stopped to consider that he could be someone else too. She barrels right into him, throwing her arms around him and tucking her head against his shoulder. Her voice is tight with strain.]

Just hold me a minute.

[If he's surprised (he is, a little) he doesn't show it much. Because, really... he's not about to hesitate to obey that command from her. He wraps his arms around her, holding her gently]

[And Katara holds on to him until the pressure on her heart is eased by the crush of their chests, until her upset breathing evens, measured, matching his, until she's drawn as much reassurance from his steadiness as she could.

Eventually, her grip loosens and she begins to slowly pull back, more herself and far less raw than she had been.]

[Her gaze is lowered, a little embarrassed now, but not ashamed of her request or her actions.]

Mm, of course. [...What could have upset her like that though. There's really. Not that many things. There's a few - and with the timing of it.. hm. No don't dwell there, instead he just rocks there, not quite releasing her entirely from the grip. Arms remain loosely around her despite her pulling back]

What I'm here for. [A little sheepishly] ...But, what's wrong?

It's Aang. [She doesn't try to break away from his grasp, choosing to take comfort there. Instead, she moves her hands to rest her palms against his chest.]

There's some kind of experiment - it's got him thinking he's Robin. Or - "a" Robin. I couldn't stand to stick around and hear anymore, he doesn't remember anything.

[She's not crying - yet - but her eyes are starting to fill up with tears.]

[...Oh dammit, another one like that? His face falls. He's not going to break out crying (but then, he doesn't know Robin well /rimshot) but the idea does sound... distressing to him. Painful.]

...So that'd his first experiment, huh.

[Katara swallows, looking down. She almost wants to break out of his embrace and go off by herself. It's a choice to remain, because the fact that his comfort can't touch this pain is a different kind of ache.

Aang...]

Yeah. As long as he doesn't eat too many hamburgers, he should be okay.

Do you know anyone who he'd respect like this? It might be suspicious, but we could try to get him to not eat meat.

[Katara's not sure if he'd listen. In fact, she's pretty sure he wouldn't listen.]

It might be worth a try.

[She tries to smile, leans up, and kisses his cheek.]

Thank you, that's a good idea.

She sighs a little and then moves closer in his embrace to rest her head against his chest.]

[He gently gets his arms closer around her. He'd rock, but unlike the Masaomi from Tokyo, that's not in his nature. Precise movements, after all]

[Katara is content to rest her ear over his heart and listen to his heartbeat. Some tears leak out of her eyes as she lets the pain go and allows the steady rhythm of his heart to ground her.]

[There's some light pats on her in the course of this, to reassure, but... no, for the most part he just allows her to ride this out. Detox, and ground herself.
