Appointments Post ( I )

This post here is for personal conversations which should happen but one or both of us doesn't want to put up a new post/log and thus we will just thread it out here. This can be used to thread with Masaomi anytime and anywhere. This can either be in person (with action), or via the journal's call feature (voice and/or written).

Really really.

[He didn't miss the pokemon on his shoulder... or when he saw her last night. He should probably get something for her too, though he's not sure if it's okay for them to eat regular food. Ah well, he'll try.

He's back in a few minutes, balancing a bowl of miso soup (he kept it on the stove, heat low enough to keep it from getting cold without ruining it) and a small plate of umeboshi. There's also some apple slices tosses kind of haphazardly on the plate.]

[By the time he's back Masaomi is on the couch, Linda is next to him and they were having a semi one-side conversation in which he was trying to tell her about... what appears to be swearing her to secrecy about last night. So obviously doesn't get it.

But when Shikamaru is back-] Is that umeboshi?

Yup. [He'll hand the soup to him first though.] Apples are for her, if she can have them.

[~~/assuming he did some journal poking and figured out the gender last night at least~~]

...Mah, good point, I don't know what she eats.

[Oh well, miso it is. He'll go at this lightly. slowly. Man he feels sluggish. Linda, on the other hand, looks at the apples curiously before he cheeks spark and she looks a little excited. She's still very small, so this is actually going to be in the form of smaller bites, but she does seem to eat well]

...should ask about that.

[He raises an eyebrow at that, minding his distance from her for now. Welp, here's hoping apples are cool for a pokemon's diet and he didn't just kill your partner, Masaomi. At least she seems to like it. But back to you now.]

The miso'll help with the nausea. Suck on the umeboshi when you're done.

[Even though it'll taste like shit.]

[He keeps up with the miso... he can see it, it makes sense. But sucking on umeboshi? that... hm]

Is this a remedy?

Mm. [Worked for his dad, anyways.]

The taste is nasty, but you'll feel better sooner. It works quick.

[Green tea helps too, but both Temari and Katara have hinted he should never try to make that again, so. 8|]

I always heard tea was better for it.

[That said, the miso does do something for his stomach already. Much more than Linda's Fake Out did, at least. And once that's down, he's go to suck on the ... umeboshi.

God this is nasty]

[He snorts. Yeah, well, his wouldn't have been. Not my fault the old hag always made the tea herself...]

Tea doesn't alkalize your blood the way these do.

[Eeeew. Sucking, sucking. He can't quite talk, but fair enough. Linda, meanwhile, chokes a bit on a particularly too large bite of apple for her throat. Which causes her to spark electricity in a wider arc. It doesn't hit Masaomi, but might touch Shiakmaru if he's not careful]

[He might've noticed quicker if he were paying more attention to her. As it is, the crack of the electricity and the static build-up near his hand is what clues him in, a little too late. He pulls back sharply, but it still grazes his hand. just barely. Not particularly painful, but enough to get a wince.]

Troublesome... [He shakes his hand some, as if the the little shock can be shaken off through it. His attention quickly shifts back to Linda, making sure he's okay.] Careful. Don't bite off more than you can chew, you know?

[Dude I am a day old this is like the fourth time I have eaten period, how would I know that? There's a little note-quite pout expression before she goes back to eating! ...With smaller bites]

[Well now she does! Don't give him that look, he is just giving you good advice, god. But hey, she seems to be catching onto it. 8|a]

There you go.

[And getting a better look at her now, since last night, she's kind of funny looking. It's barely there, but Shikamaru's serious expression finally gives its first crack since he got up today.]

The hair's a little reminiscent of Gold, ain't it?

[Spitting out the Umeboshi now. Into the miso bowl - what] What?! Really?

[Yes, really, why would he say it otherwise. 8| He doesn't bother to repeat himself, instead pointing at the bowl.]

Oi, you need to finish that.

You said to suck on it, not swallow it!

[But fine... picking... it up...]

Right. Don't do that either, just let it dissolve. You can take it out sometimes.

[Like to talk or to chase down the awful taste with the soup, if there's any left. But back to Linda.]

But anyways. It was just a thought.

[Suck, suck. He shrugs at that. Man... he closes his eyes. This feeling sort of sucks. It's probably not even as bad as it could be]

[And then there was... awkward silence. Shikamaru's not a talkative guy by nature, but right now it's more that he really isn't one hundred percent sure what to say.

He's hoping Masaomi will volunteer something, though when he factors the chances, the scenarios with that happening are few. He counts them off in his head, still, only half-watching Masaomi. His Pichu, at least, gets a little more attention. If only to make sure he notices if she starts accidentally zapping things again.]

[She doesn't, just content to eat with the (somewhat smaller) bites. Masaomi, meanwhile, is struggling to suck up all that can be sucked of these gross tasting pickled devils. Once he's gotten as much as he can take for another round, he spits them into the bowl again]

I... had to do something. A meeting, I think.

[Katara. He nods twice, slowly.] Okay.

[The hangover trick will have done a lot of good by the time he actually goes out the door, especially for any nausea and grogginess. It won't be gone by the time he runs into her, but it'll be better.]

What time... was it? [Now? or the meeting? He's not even sure which he means. HE pops the Umeboshi back in. Might as well totally finish it]

Nearly 10 AM.

[.............Shiiiiiiit He swallows what is left of them, makes a face, and then stands]

I gotta get going then! [ouch that hurts his head]

[...Dumbass. But that's why he didn't mention it earlier.]

You taking her with you? [He really should ask for her name.]
