This post here is for personal conversations which should happen but one or both of us doesn't want to put up a new post/log and thus we will just thread it out here. This can be used to thread with Masaomi anytime and anywhere. This can either be in person (with action), or via the journal's call feature (voice and/or written).

[Better than nothing. Shikamaru grins, and turns to watch the darkening sky again.

They should probably head back now if they want to be ready for their separate missions tomorrow - Masaomi lives further away from here, and Shikamaru still needs to get a hold of a couple of people before he goes.

The look on his face turns contemplative - he's not sure if their little talk made much difference. Not that he expected his words to have a big impact, but he meant what he said. Masaomi met it with denial and resignation before turning the subject around.

If this was just about getting over the incident with the moon, he wouldn't be concerned. Everyone will move beyond that eventually, Masaomi included. That's the nature of this place... just like it is to bring back the issues it raises time and again, if you let it. Which is what worries him.

It's nothing he can tackle in ten minutes, though. Just something to watch out for.]

[And Masaomi, for his part as they fall into the silence feels a similar tug for time. He sighs and then starts to get up before shikamaru]

I guess we best prep to go.

[Shikamaru glances over, pulled from his thoughts, and nods. He jumps to his feet, brushing his sleeves off.]

Guess so. [Another glance, and then:] You really should get that vest fixed.
