Appointments Post ( I )

This post here is for personal conversations which should happen but one or both of us doesn't want to put up a new post/log and thus we will just thread it out here. This can be used to thread with Masaomi anytime and anywhere. This can either be in person (with action), or via the journal's call feature (voice and/or written).

And then he feels the gaze. So... he did hit someone? He looks and-

Wow pink. Wait! That's a girl!!]

Sorry!!

[And he gives a wholly over-dramatic faux bow despite being in the water]

[Presea can't help but be a little more exasperated when she sees that it's Kida. She doesn't sigh, but much of her anger dies away. Though that doesn't exactly mean she's not upset anymore. As Presea rings out her hair and fishes up the cloth and ribbon to tie it back in a bun, she just gives Kida a very flat look.]

...Please, take care to observe your surroundings more carefully. Though minor, I could have been injured.

Eh. ...Okay, Presea-chan. Sorry.

[He gets up now. Wow, this little girl just chided him like an adult might. How odd]

[She doesn't say much about that - there's nothing else to say - and only readjusts her hair. After that, though, she takes a look at what really hit her. It felt too hard to be Kida himself and...what in the heck is that? Presea sloshes through the shallow water and picks up the board, observing it with confusion.]

What...is this?

You don't know?! That's what they call the poor man's surf board! None other than the proud item, the boogie board!

[He wonders how she's able to lift it like that... oh well, it is light, he must be underestimating a little girl's strength]

Do you want to see it in action?

[Boogie...board? That is the strangest looking board Presea has ever seen. What the heck is it even made out of, anyway? It's definitely not wood, it's too light weight and awkwardly shaped. Regardless, she inspects it further, memorizing as much as she could, before handing it back to Kida easily.]

Yes...please. If it is not any trouble. [She pauses, then sloshes off to the side, away from the danger zone.] ...I will inspect from this location.

[...Wow okay. He takes it, putting the strap back on his wrist, and then nods, solemnly (or well, mock-solemnly) before looking for an apt looking wave to roll towards them. Okay, small, also small... and there's one which is whitecapping a little. He decides to take that one, putting chest on the board and then leaping into the wave when it comes. he then rides it out - not the best ever considering he didn't go that much deeper, but he did get some distance]

[Presea watches with honest interest, leaning forward somewhat as Kida slides through the water on the board. it looked strange - what was the purpose - but...appealing. Somehow. Presea definitely wanted to try it, just not in too deep water. Anywhere where her feet couldn't touch the bottom and she would be in trouble.

She wades over timidly, glancing first at Kida, then the board.]

Impressive. Uh...m-may I...have a turn? Please? Could you teach me?

[Wait did she say- Whe nhe's recovered and shaken out his ears a bit- Tuuuurn, smirking. Oh, oh.]

Eeeeh... Sure thing, Presea-chan.

Thank you.

[She splashes over, securing the buns in her hair a bit tighter so they don't come loose again, and looks uneasily at the board. How does she...use this thing? Will she even fit on it or is she too small? Kida was a lot bigger than her puny self.]

Uh...

Here, just get on there.

[He smiles, pushing the board down and trying to help her on. It might be way too big for her, yes, but... oh well]

[Oh, dear god, the thing is practically as big as Presea is. She awkwardly steps on, clutching the board and best she could...immediately feeling weird. M-Maybe this wasn't such a good idea...]

Um... Okay, so you lay on your chest on it - or maybe your whole belly in your case? Or get ready for it, and then push off at a wave.

[Doing as he said, Presea flops onto her belly and looks first at Kida, then over her shoulder. Is this right? She still feels pretty strange, especially floating up on this flimsy piece of...whatever it was. As it just so happens, though, Presea gets lucky with her first wave being a good size to ride.

Kick off, right? How does she...do that exactly? Just splash? Presea tests it and her back end catches the wave and--]

[Off she goes. Whooosh! Caught by surprise, Presea clings to the board, pressing herself against it.]

A-Ah...!

Ah...ahahahaha!

[Hark, is that the sound of laughter? From Presea? Yes. Yes, it is. After the initial shock of gliding through the water, she finally gets the miniature thrill and actually enjoys herself while doing so. The board comes to a stop after a second she flops off into the shallow water, still giggling.

That was fun!]

[...Oh wow. He was concerned for a moment, watching her, and considered swimming on over to try to get her off the board, but then when he hears the laughter he just blinks and lets her ride it out. That... is an extremely cute laugh. It's something he's proud he could make happen]

[So when she touches down, he wades on over to her then. Mostly to make sure she's still okay, the board's fine, she isn't drowning, she's enjoying herself, etc.

The giggling is a positive indication though]

[Presea looks very pleased as Kida comes over. She stands, smiling, and holds the board up, ready and raring to go again. Presea always liked the water, despite not being able to swim relatively well without the aid of a floatation device. It was calming, and now...it was fun, too!]

May I try again?

Of course! It's not even my board, you can use it as much as you want- the pleasure of seeing as cute girl like you having fun makes it all worth it!

Thank you! [Might...want to tell her about that wrist/ankle strap, Kida. The next few waves are on the larger side, and Presea's already wading through the water to get back into position.]

[You know the downside is that.

He doesn't notice she doesn't have it on.

....Such a shame, really]

[This is going to end in the worst way possible.

Because already Presea has splashed out into a somewhat deeper area, happy as a clam, and is waiting for those waves to send her soaring again. Unfortunately, all that does happen is that big wave crashing down on the little girl and her falling right into the water with a squeak.

...halp.]

[Oh look at her so cute. She's so happy and-]

[-...Then she's drowning. Or at least fallen into the water. Well shit. He dives and goes to swim over to her to make sure she's okay and if she's not get her to a position where she is.
