This post here is for personal conversations which should happen but one or both of us doesn't want to put up a new post/log and thus we will just thread it out here. Ah, I-I guess so...! [sure, why not. he did really help her out that first day :|a and it would be rude to say no to something like that, when he's being nice to her.]

Do it's decided! As of now, Hikari-chan and I have an unbreakable bond!

[....And he holds out a pinky for her]

[a second to blink down at the offered pinky, then back up at him] Um...right! [she entwines her own pinky with his]

...But what does that mean, exactly?

That I should ask you out on a date, maybe?

[INNOCENT FAICE. With the pink shaking]

[retracting her hand now and clasping it over her chest in a somewhat self-protective gesture. she's reminded violently of Kaname's underhanded scheming, but shakes the association off. He couldn't possibly know about Amane, and he definitely isn't trying to hurt her - he's too nice.]

Oh, no, I really don't-- I couldn't!

[He feigns a severe disappoint here, hanging his head and sighing as he shakes his head. But when he gets back to normal he's just got a wry smile on]

Ah, well, give it time, Hikari-chan. I might warm up on you.

[She actually tenses noticeably at that and takes the smallest step back. Memories of terrible feelings are powerful monsters, yet oddly weak enough to be triggered by the slightest thing. Okay, calm down; remember he doesn't know, he isn't trying to...]

It isn't that! I'm sorry. You're very kind, Masaomi-san, but...there's already someone who is very important to me.

Oh, is that so?

[SHARKFAICE. he leans in, his hands wiggling]

[...what even is that face. She leeeeans away from him to accommodate for the shrinking personal space, but that just evolves into taking a whole step backward]

Yes, it is. [sounding very, very sure of herself for once]

[And here his smile relaxes into something easier. and pulls back]

Well then, I can't compete with that.

[she breathes a small sigh of relief and relaxes, glad that he seems to understand]

Amane-senpai is amazing... [between the lines: 'there's no competition'. But she sounds wistful, and a little sad too. It actually hurts, how amazing Amane is.]

[...Pfft.]

They do say love is a leveler.

I...guess I never really understood what that means. [with a slight headtilt. please, enlighten her.]

Everyone will fall in love, Hikari-chan, and when they do, it doesn't really matter about ability or station, if they're together. Right?

I hope that's true. [Amane had asked her to be her partner in the Etoile election...before, well... That's the part she doesn't like thinking about. She isn't entirely sure if that's the sort of relationship the other girl wants either. Still, it's a nice sentiment.]

So then, Hikari-chan! [And he pgoes to poke her forehead]

It is nice to meet my neighbor.

Yes! I'm glad we could be neighbors, Masaomi-san. [except she feels weird about having no girl neighbors...]
