[This morning Mikado is gone.

More pressingly, his computer and most of the things in his room are gone too. Masaomi stares at it for a long while through the hole in the wall (covered by a sheet) dividing their two rooms when he went to check on Mikado today. As it stands... well. Well. There's a few possible conclusions, and they all fly into his head: kidnapped, kidnapped by someone else? Seduced-? all of them leave a foul taste in his mouth. Thus, eventually, he flips open the journal. His tone is flat, with an unhidden hint of threat in it-]

Have any of you seen Mikado Ryuugamine?

[... But he's too antsy to focus on just that. Instead, he's going to hit up all the likely hang outs- he's going to hit up all of the friends of Mikado's he knows the house/apart numbers of. Archie Kennedy, Anne, Shuri, Selphie. For good measure, he then will go to people he wonders might be useful - the clinic to see if he can't find Law-san or someone else there and then around to look for Shikamaru, even though he doesn't know where he lives. By the end of the day, he's just going to be looking in the windows of all the houses he can, and then going to the apartment doors of everyone he can and knocking on their door... progressively feeling more and more like hitting someone or something.

SO UH. Run unto him wherever ! He's feeling insane]

[Okay, the smashing and breaking of property is kind of noteworthy, so it's a matter of moments before Mikage wanders over, kind of concerned about the noise.]

[ shuri's moving a bit stiffly right now, trying to shake the fear out. but he jumps when he hears mikage's voice, dropping the spoon he was holding. ]

E-eh? [ oh. ] Oh. Masaomi's here.

[...Shuri that is not an explanation. Also you look like a startled cat, what the heck jumped you.]

Your... friend, Masaomi? What's he doing, demolition?

[ you're not allowed to judge my friends, mikage. he peeks around the wall. ]

[JUDGING. And now he's feeling nosy, so instead of peeking like some kind of wary animal, he just wanders right in to have a lo-

Heyyy, Masaomi, right? Can you stop breaking Shuri's room?

[TURN BACK with a face a little like this. He was actually just finishing pulling out all the drawers in the dresser. He's also moved the nightstand and... well. Not much else can reasonably have Mikado in it (and those drawers were dubious too.

...Staring]

[...Okay, surprisingly intimidated for a skinny little teenager.]

Uh... you're looking for Mikado, right? I don't think he'd fit anywhere besides the closet, and... [It's been thoroughly checked. And then some. Wow.] ...Anyway, Shuri wouldn't hide him anywhere. He can be a jerk but he's not that kind of guy.

[Seriously, aren't they friends? What kind of friend does this?]

...And would you do that? Who would do that?

[What was this guy's name, anyway? He forgets, and takes a step closer. He considers picking up a lamp because he's just so angry and he can't punch the Malnosso and...]

No, that- no one in this house would.

[Is there... something wrong with this guy?]

Did something happen to make you think that? Shuri says pretty stupid things sometimes but he's not a bad guy.

[He ignores Shuri entirely]

Oh?! [Step closer] You don't know?! [Step closer] He didn't tell you?!

[His eyes are going a bit wider here]

Mikado liked him? And it was nothing? To have Shuri replace his affections for Anri-chan? To have him be with Mikado? And it was nothing?

[There's a short mirthless laugh here, his eyes wide]

[He takes a step closer and the smirk fades. The laugh dies, and this tone is flat]

Ridiculous.

[Yyyyyeah, crazycakes. Can Shuri not make friends with sane people? First the Black Hawks and now this guy. What the hell.

The abrupt attitude change puts Mikage on edge, though, and he takes a step back to match Masaomi's approach.]

That was an experiment. Haven't you ever been forced to do strange things because of the Malnosso?

... retreating back into the kitchen. ]

Oooh, this or that.

[The tone becomes airy again - and now he laughs in a jovial manner. He takes another two steps closer, and intends to brush past Mikage]

Nothing to Mikado.

[Mikage makes no move to stop him, but he does fall into step just behind him.]

Don't go starting any fights, okay? No one wants that.

[In other words, don't attack Shuri. Because that is a big concern right now.]

Are you Shuri's boyfriend, perhaps?

[With another jovial laugh as he takes some more steps out. Yes, he has talked with Mikage before, but it's not coming to mind right now. And he's walking to the kitchen]

[That would be laughable if anything about this situation was funny. Unfortunately it's not.]

I'm sure you know I'm not. [Yep, he's headed for the kitchen. Great.]

[ he's biting back four different responses here. no. he's. going to cook. he's going to cook and pretend this isn't happening. and... that's it. nothing to it. ]

[And once they're in the kitchen he looks at Shuri. ...Shuri looks so pitiful. It just pisses him off more. He looks from him to Mikage, and sniffs the air. He hangs his head a little, and makes a fist at his side]

I'm done looking, Shuri.

[And now he's walking out of the kitchen and towards leaving the house.

[Mikage edges over to where Shuri's standing, watching Masaomi uneasily. If he's leaving, that's fine, but... watching him, just in case.]
