No, he knows exactly what it's about. If he really wants to, he can ask during the game, not now.

He takes the card and looks it over carefully- why the clubs? The ace of hearts makes sense- wouldn't it make sense to grab two decks and have them both be hearts?]

In the spirit of the mood now, we're coming up on what feels like a climax - men are all subject to that same fall we're heading for, and so I say we ought to put our hearts on the line a little! This game reflects that, and it's called Truth or Truth.

I wouldn't say nothing. I can't imagine a creature wouldn't at least be affected by such a thing. If it has a heart at all, it must still have a need for one.

Just out of curiosity, was it the recent announcement that inspired you to come up with this game? [The one on the journals, about getting to go home. And maybe that's a cheap question to ask considering he can sort of already tell that this is the case, but hey, he can't say he's not curious to know just how much thought you've put into this.]

Then let's go theoretical - what if it doesn't need the heart, but still has it taken?

It's not like I can fight a dream monster - sooo. What will be, will be. And here's my "game" to symbolize facing it.

You can also tell exactly why Gold is how he is if you meet her.

Even if it did not need its heart, it is possible the creature would still be affected by having it taken. Even a creature with no need for a heart may still feel pain, be it physical or emotional.

[And there's definitely something to be said about the difference between taking a heart and stabbing one out. The latter implies some intent to cause pain.]

If I am not mistaken, humans are also prone to feeling emotional pain when they lose something they cherish, regardless of whether they need it or not.

[Rock Lee's certainly willing to go on. He's not even sure of what kind of hard-hitting question to use on his side.]

Actually... at one point, I did feel that. Before I accepted the surgery... I felt so many doubts. I wondered if my dream of becoming a splendid ninja had finally come to an end. If I should... give up.

But people like Gai-Sensei and Sakura-san helped me and inspired me. From them, I found the strength I needed to accept Tsunade-sama's offer and undergo the surgery.

[That's a really cool thing to say...and yet it's kind of a sad way of thinking, so for a second, he honestly doesn't quite know what to say. Eventually though--]

My, this game certainly has a more dramatic taste to it than what I thought in the beginning...but, to say that "the Masaomi Kida you are now is going to die no matter what"? Isn't it a little too early to be giving up like that? I would have expected someone like you to be a little more determined to try to survive, if the person you are now is who you truly want to be, that is.

[It's a strong possibility that they would lose their memories of this place, and all of the things that changed them as a person. Maybe "Masaomi Kida" and "Cilan" and "Silver" and everyone else in Luceti will cease to exist, and the people that they used to be will simply go on with their lives as if nothing ever happened.

But, there still exists a small possibility that, while their physical appearance might go back to what it used to be, who they are on the inside and all the memories with it will make their way back somehow. Maybe things really will be different for them once they're back home again.]
