Appointments Post ( II )

This post here is for personal conversations which should happen but one or both of us doesn't want to put up a new post/log and thus we will just thread it out here. This can be used to thread with Masaomi anytime and anywhere. This can either be in person (with action), or via the journal's call feature (voice and/or written).

Well, it is Christmas!!! That's definitely special.

[...Well that just sounds existential. He was thinking in terms of physical contact, but. Well then. Hmm. He crosses his arms, thinking about it some]

Exactly! I'm here to look good and provide some nice gifts!

Gifts? [ Like, plural? Ikki's appropriately startled by that. ]

Quite so! After all, I had to give that package for your house in style.

Oh! I brought the veil!!

Excellent! Then we can get underway right off.

[He twirls a little before, now turned, strutting over to one of the consoles. The thing's already put in and he's been calling dibs on it for a while today (harder than it sounds, really) and he pushes the "go" button on it, but before they go in is dramatically leaning on the handle of the door]

Underway for what, though? [ Ohhhhh she's super excited to see behind that door. WHAT AWAITS? Maybe it's a magical castle in the sky! Or a cloud kingdom! Or something else in the sky! ]

Put on the veil, because you'll be needing it soon. [Drumroll, please... and...!

He opens it to it being a castle in the sky. We're straight up Laputa on this. Specifically, they're on a ledge]

[ Ikki's following that direction without complaint - although she flips it back over her hair, so she can see clearly. It actually looks cute with the christmas day dress, so at least there's that - although any illusion of formality is ruined when she darts inside onto the ledge, gaping. ] It's - !

[ and you might want to take a picture, Masaomi, because Ikki is absolutely speechless.

This will last all of two minutes. Better make it last. ]

[...Sweet. He grins to himself, pleased to have managed this. In comparison to all the problems he's had lately, this makes things a bit more worth it. He likes this. As it is, he doesn't go too much - he might follow her when she starts to move, but he'll just lean up against a wall]

[Meanwhile, this being Winter it's getting darker. Shikamaru pulls a decent flashlight out of his pocket and switches on the beam, pointing it at log to test the light. Snazzy.]

Wow, you're prepared.

[With a little whistle. Huh...]

Always. It's part of being a cool adult.

[He says this with a smirk, but keeping a light on him is something he's decided to do from now on, quite seriously.]

Wait, you're cool?

[THIS EXPRESSION]

[Shining the light in his eyes.]

[He blinks furiously and rubs his eyes out. RUDE]

[He directs the beam away and under his chin, in a way he's seen Captain Yamato do back home. Mwahaha.]

Your face is too flat for that!

[With a little faux-glare through one of his fingers]

Your three-dimensional vision just hasn't recovered to appreciate it. [But he shies the light away again, back to the log.] Come on and focus, now.

After you blinded me! [ :T But fine, whatever, he goes back to focusing]

[WOW DETAILS.]

[Okay back to focusing. He's still not sure he gets this. And he's starting to think that focusing this much is eventually going to throw off being able to do the signs on cue. Still... he has to try]

Give it another shot. Better to put things to test as you think of them.
