Masaomi wakes up on the 19th (post event), and starts his day as normal (well aside from waking up a bit later than normal) until he realizes WAIT, WHAT about two or three different things all at once. He promptly gives up any semblance of a normal morning, instead opens his journal and writes/draws the following entry:]

[with a sheepish smile. If there is any pain (there really isn't) he just seems cool with it]

[Okay, really batting a thousand, here. With her history, that kind of strikes her painfully.

He's just teasing, Katara.

But what if he's not?

She crosses her arms again.]

[...Girl what are you even. There's a very dark look being done in the form of an eyeroll, which makes Linda topple a little on his head and retreat back to his shoulder]

[And if you're thinking that's surprise and vulnerability in her eyes... you would be right.]

Katara... isn't that obvious? [There could not possibly be more warmth in his eyes. Even if there's surprise too]

No. No. She doesn't want to talk about this right now. She vulnerable and empty and hurting, and she's letting this make her feel warm, reflected from the warmth in his eyes and....

I thought it was, but - I'd been trusting you about what you said and why - [old pain shadows her eyes and she shakes her head and looks away for a minute, before glancing back at him, wry and hiding.] Sorry.

[Mmm. He glances away from her for this, and then lightly]

Well then, trust this: my endgame's for you and I to have something like "him" and "her's" happiness.

[Normally, conventionally, he would not go this far. But if she is going to put out some insane doubt like that. an insulting doubt like that. He's going to correct her.]

[She also looks away, and runs a hand up and down her crossed bicep with nervous energy.]

...I wouldn't want to keep that kind of happiness from anyone. Even if you can't find it with me, I hope you find it.

He turns now, with this- No, it shouldn't be this one]

[With this face. Linda, on his head, is so lost right now]

[Poor Linda. Her second day of living and this is what she gets exposed to.

As it is, Katara doesn't really see the point in fighting that statement. Give it time is all she has to say, and that sounds insulting even to her admittedly somewhat deaf internal ear.]
