So okay the first day went... better than expected, but he still flaked out. and that was a while ago. No doubt Saki was settling just fine on her own too - getting to know people, that sort of thing - and he had shown her to the welcome center, but... well. Lingering sense of guilt and a desire to see more of her in spite of how scared he wish pushed her to invite her on this little journey.

Namely, Masaomi Kida is walking - sometimes uncomfortably - side by side with his (ex-)girlfriend around Luceti. Showing her what's what, hesitantly introducing her to his friends, showing her the teleporter and the beach, the Rec Center, the Sakura Hill, everything ever over the course of the day and then leading her back to his apartment at the end of it to... well, he might make an offer, he might not. He's still not totally sure.

Either way, please do run into the "happy" "couple" as you see fit. chances are, one or the other will say hi if you don't. Joint with wantedly, replies will come from both obviously]

[ ... just. Curiously looking at both of them. Something is... off, and she has an idea on what, but it's hard to admit it to herself. ]

[Oh - that's her name. She turns her head, a vaguely disturbed look still on her face which fades into a smile when she sees who's there. It's small, but genuine, and hopefully he'll totally miss any lingering sadness.] Hey, Masaomi.

[And he's with a girl! What a surprise.

Katara doesn't recognize her. ...a New Feather? She offers her a smile.]

[He doesn't entirely miss it. Something's off about her. She's... upset? His first instinct is to try to dig at is, but she would resist and she's putting on a show by smiling. Plus, well, Saki is with him, and that makes him feel more awkward. But he's got his own small an genuine smile]

Saki, this is Katara. She's... ah, we're friends, right?

[ She's wearing a nice smile, entirely carefree. ]

[There's something going on here that she doesn't completely understand. Some sort of awkwardness and... familiarity... and why was he asking that?]

Friends. [And a confident nod and smile at Masaomi. You don't need to worry about that.]

I'm well enough, thanks. It's nice to meet you too, Saki. Are you new here?

[And that's when she realizes that Masaomi didn't kill Saki 'Saki-chan.']

[Well, he'll let Saki just talk for now. He just sort of hangs out here, pleased to see that Katara agreed that he has her friendship. Yeeeeah]

Really new, actually! I arrived... what, a day ago? Something like that.

[ She grins, rocking back on her heels. ]

Masaomi was just showing me around.

Oh, I see. [Glancing between them, she can't help but notice a certain similarity. It's unusual for her to see a girl whose hair is cut that short and... there is something more familiar about Saki, now that she looks more closely.]

Are you two from the same world?

[It's rather obvious that Katara is not. She is wearing the outfit with her blue tunic, waterskin, and knife tucked into her belt.]

... And it seems like you're from a different world altogether!

[Wow, the same city, even. So- a quick, smile at Saki, even as she nods in acknowledgement of the other girl's statement. Yes, welcome to Luceti, home of none by port of many.] That's good! It's a lot easier, I think, if you've got people that you know here.

[And her gaze darts between them again, trying to assess what it is that she's seeing.] You two do know each other, right?

...We do? [And suddenly, he's flooded a different, more complicated emotion. Right now, he's in a room with both of his "exes" and he wants - needs - to "explain away" Saki to Katara. He falters a bit, looking between the two girls. He should do that, right...?]

[...But then when his gaze fixates on Saki again he frowns. No. Maybe he should explain Katara to Saki...? No. That wouldn't be right either? That's... Nngh]

[ ... She stares at Kida for a moment.

Before shrugging. ]

Hey, I have to go to the washroom. Don't do anything too fun while I'm gone, okay?

[ So he can go ahead and sort out all of his issues, while Saki runs to the back to go find a washroom, waving a bit to the two as she walks off. ]

[Blink. Katara calls after Saki:] Okay, see you.

[And then turns to look at Masaomi inquiringly.]

smirks? Yes. Smirks. Nothing wrong here]

[...okay, that's not much of an explanation, Masaomi.]

So you're friends, then?

Y...yes.

[ . . . . Wow he feels way more awkward than he thought he would. Probably because he never had to explain Saki before now?]

[Dude, you're still acting weird.]

Well, that's good then. [Isn't it?] ...are you all right?

[...] I didn't expect to see Saki here.

[That could mean two things - one, that he really didn't want her here in order to keep her safe; two, that there's something about her being here which makes him uncomfortable.]

Are you worried about her?

...Yeah. Yeah, I guess I am.

[ . . . ]

I know that Luceti isn't a good place to be for people that you care about...

[But sometimes it's the only place that you can be together.]

But as long as we all stick together there are plenty of people who are willing to help. We'll all do what we can for her here. And at least she's not by herself - you're already showing her around, and that's got to help!
