[ Masaomi has made a promise to himself today. It's the Monday after Valentines and he's pretty sure he hasn't been shifted yet. He's also gotten a pretty disappointing chocolate turnout on Valentines probably - anyone is free to correct me if your characters gave something. And really, something Davis once said still weighs on him... Not that he can do anything about it this late in the game but he's going to be doing something special today:

While he's working at the Convenience Store or later in the day when he's hanging out around the square - not only is he going to flirt with almost every girl he can see, which isn't unusual, he is going to try to score as many actual dates as he can. Asking people out. Because why not? It'll be fun and chances are the plans will be put awry in the next week or two anyway.

So ladies, come at him. Or dudes come ask what he's doing or maybe join in on him. yolo swag ]

[ A long sip before he slaps the cup down, winks!! ] Well then, have I got a tale for you! You should pay careful attention!

Well then! Our story begins up in the hinterlands of Ireland! It's said that there, between the realms of the living and the death, there's a massive black horse which will ride out in the night! A great stallion, whose thundering footsteps tell you that you ought to be wary of it's coming!

[She was about to ask where Ireland was, as she wasn't familiar with Earth locations, but she kept her mouth shut as she wanted to hear the full tale first before she started asking questions, or commenting about anything.

She's just going to nod and continue listening.]

But the real part of it... is that atop the steed is a figure in a dark dress! A beautiful woman, who is aside on the stallion - but it's no ordinary woman. This woman's actually a fairy - a creature of magic which brings the souls of the departed on into the next world. Leaving a wave of the dead behind her as she rides.

[Her eyes widened a little at all of this. This was exciting! Karis wished she had heard of such a creature before.]

No way!

Yes way! [ And he winks, wiggling a finger! ] But the big thing is... That she doesn't have a head! It's not even on her neck, she carries it in her arms!

Ah! But how did she lose her head? Did someone cut it off with an enchanted weapon, so that she wouldn't die? [Karis couldn't hold in her questions anymore, she really need to know!]

No way, that's the scary part! A being of death, and a fairy for the afterlife, the Dullahan just naturally has no head.

That certainly is frightening, I can only imagine what it would be like to be chased down by a Dullahan.

Oh, but if you wouldn't be! See, if you're not a target and you're in their way, not even considerate enough to go back in doors... then when she splashes you with a bucket of blood!

A bucket of-- [She's questioning why, of all things, blood would be used.]

Wouldn't it be more effective to use something that might cause bodily harm? It wouldn't have to be anything severe, but it would certainly make people far more reluctant to get in her way.

How should I know, I'm not a headless horseman. I don't even have the figure for it.

I don't think you'd necessarily would have to be an actual headless horseman to know. [She's not even going to comment on the figure part.]

Hahaha... well. I can't speak for the likes of that. Either way, that's more story.

Speaking of more stories... [As she's still interested.] Got any more about some of the creatures from your world?

A...h. Well, not many more I can confirm are true about anything so outlandish as a Dullahan. I've got a few more urban legends to spare though.

Alright, let's hear them! [Oh how eager she was to hear more.]

E...h then, let's talk about the strongest man in Ikebukuro, the man that the monsters fear.

[spellfeather]

Ikebukuro? [Hold off on your questions here Karis.] So he's the strongest man in your world? [Or not.]

[generalflirt]

Ikebukuro's the town I'm from - it's a city within a city. Within Tokyo, to be specific.

[spellfeather]

[She still doesn't know where that is, but she'll roll with it.]

So we have the strongest man of a city within a city. Alright then. [She wasn't as impressed now.] How'd he get that title?

[ He takes a long sip from his drink, smirks, but then adopts a deadly serious tone ] Because Shizuo Heiwajima is an Avatar of unrestrained violence. The main can throw a vending machine over twenty meters in and overhand throw, and he's been known to pull a streetlight up to use as a club with his bare hands. There isn't a single guy who can touch him, even in a town full of gangs and yakuza and everything between. He's a man the monsters fear- a pent up force of rage which cannot be stopped by any one or any thing.

No cybernetic enhancements? No magic? No power suit? That's all just flesh and bone working on its own? [She's never heard of anyone capable of what he just listed off without some sort of outside help.]
