[ Masaomi has made a promise to himself today. It's the Monday after Valentines and he's pretty sure he hasn't been shifted yet. He's also gotten a pretty disappointing chocolate turnout on Valentines probably - anyone is free to correct me if your characters gave something. And really, something Davis once said still weighs on him... Not that he can do anything about it this late in the game but he's going to be doing something special today:

While he's working at the Convenience Store or later in the day when he's hanging out around the square - not only is he going to flirt with almost every girl he can see, which isn't unusual, he is going to try to score as many actual dates as he can. Asking people out. Because why not? It'll be fun and chances are the plans will be put awry in the next week or two anyway.

So ladies, come at him. Or dudes come ask what he's doing or maybe join in on him. yolo swag ]

[ Because he needs to gingerly pick up the glass first. And he goes to do that before mopping ]

[Erica quickly heads to the door so she can wipe her feet, again leaving more milk all over the floor as she hurries away.]

[HEY she offered to clean up okay, this is what he gets. Step up your cleaning game Masaomi.

It doesn't take long for Erica to return, having made sure to wipe her feet down outside so she won't be treading anymore milk around. She even makes sure to avoid the milky puddles she made on the way out as she goes to check on Masaomi.]

Would there happen to be a spare mop in the cupboard you got that one from?

[She still wants to help!]

[ Wow hey. Hey. Hey.

But he's gotten all the glass picked up by now and once she's back in he's actually mopping already. So really, she wants to help more. He looks sheepish a moment, but then he grins a little and keeps mopping but ]

Actually, I could think of a better way to help.

[Well if there's an even better way for her to help then of course she wants to do it.]

What did you have in mind? I'll really try my hardest at whatever it is!

[ And he leans on his mop, holding up a thumbs up here. HYOOOO ]

[With a smile on her face Erica starts to walk over- And quickly stops mid-step.]

I-I'm sorry, I must have misheard you. For a moment there I thought you asked for a kiss! [How silly of her, thinking he said that of all things!]

[Y ES??? She's hoping she misheard him anyway! Erica just laughs sheepishly to herself. Hahaha. Thinking he was asking for a kiss. Goodness.

Maybe she'll just take a few steps back. Yeah. She doesn't mind helping out, but a kiss might be a little too much.]

As he goes back to mopping ]

[Lord help her she didn't mishear him- OKAY! Deep breath, clasping her hands together with a loud clap.]

Oh, that's a pretty name! Mind's Masaomi Kida, to keep with the more rustic feel I have going here.

You're Japanese, aren't you? How wonderful, I've been given the chance to meet so many people from Japan here and for that I am grateful!

[She seems very excited knowing that she's speaking with someone from Japan now.]

It's a very interesting and beautiful place, that's what I've heard! I've been told so much about it that I would like to visit someday and see all the cherry trees, sumos and men with chonmages for myself.

[ And though he makes to put a hand up to his mouth to do a little act, he then ends up snickering CHONMAGES... ]

[ and then he just bursts out laughing ]

[... Oh, he's laughing again, did she miss something? Even if Erica is clueless she'll join in this time as well, matching the volume of her laughter with his. She might end up still laughing long after he finishes though, whenever that might be.]

[ Oh god. He keeps going for a long while - the laugh from her spurring on his own laugh. It deepens and he keeps it up as he tries to mop more, fails, and leans on his own mop. This'll last for maybe twenty plus seconds ]

[secretmiracle]

[Erica will carry on well past thirty seconds then, her laughter steadily getting louder as Masaomi's dies off. Eventually she notices that Masaomi isn't laughing as hard as he was and she stops with a sigh, followed by a deep breath. Phew, a long laugh like that can make anyone feel good!]

Ahaha. Then I hope that you can go to Japan sometime in the future. Seriously.

[ HE might even need to wipe a tear of mirth from his eyes ]

Thank you! I'm hoping so too. The boat ride over there might take a very long time, but it would be worth it to see everything I've been told about... And I could nap during the ride!

Paris, France! Ah, though I suppose I would need to take the train first to get to the boat and then the boat to get to Japan. If only there were a boat that could take me there that traveled right along the Seine.
